Lost my over 280 game hitting streak

I've been playing RTTS for many years and carry over my career. I've been playing my PS5 the last two weeks and today I got a hit and usually a graphic comes up and says about my incredible hitting streak and I got nothing. Played a couple more games and then on my 4th game it said I was on a 8 game hitting streak.
. So decided to turn the game off, and download my save I did last night. Looked at the last ten games and I got a hit in at least the last ten games. Started playing again and again on my 4th game I was on a 8 game hitting streak. Not sure what happened but I know I've gotten a hit in the last 280 games played. -
Counter probably reset at 256.

Suggestion: log a bug report, they may decide to change the variable type in a future version of the game because of this.

When switching to a new console, all your settings, dynamic difficulty and streaks get reset. Same thing happened to me

I've been playing for two weeks on my PS5. None of my stats were reset.

Your stats don’t get reset but your dynamic difficulty, settings and some of your streaks do. It happened to my RTTS character when I transferred him over. I don’t think it’s the counter resetting after 256. Wouldn’t that be an 8 bit computing issue, like the kill screen in PAC Man?

Depends on how it’s programmed. In this case there would be an error trap programmed in to stop the game crashing.
