I wouldn’t necessarily think this means that WS and BR would get this sort of pack automatically. They have done an event rewind sort of pack before, RS rewards will likely get last years treatment when they add every reward to the PR and WS pack but that won’t tank the value of the cards. They still have never done anything like that with BR rewards

70 wins is a lot. Not sure how many will reach that level for the prices to drop that drastically

A little over 3 wins a day across 3 events. It’s really not that bad if you don’t try to do it all at once

A little over 3 wins a day across 3 events. It’s really not that bad if you don’t try to do it all at once
Oh I know, just personally dont see that many people reaching that mark to deflate the prices that much.

I like it and it's in a spot that's not going to really hurt their value and in fact if you get there and get someone like Goose you will make a good amount.

This event really incentivizes the hell out of playing it, really a good way to get the DD crowd to stay active especially since it's about a month long & for the love of God it's finally time to start having better event rewards, aside from [censored] & Goose I haven't used any really

Agreed add in the 99 team cap and you can work on prestige as well

I don’t play a lot of events — do we think they will introduce new rewards for Central and then again for East? Or are these three toolbags the best we can expect for all these region-based events?

Laaaame. I just want them to release Lefty Grove so I can officially complete my old-timers team (unless my Bob Feller order is ever filled ....)

Good thing I bought that Feller when he was 400k. I use Newhouser in place of Grove for now.

Do you also have an old farts team? For my SP, I use Cy Young, Walter Johnson, Christy Mathewson, Hal, and I’ve been using the 92 Lefty Grove until I can upgrade with Feller or Lefty.

Yes I do. I have the Feller and I’m waiting on that grove, Hal just doesn’t really cut it. I’ve actually been really effective with young and Mathewson, much more than I was expecting.
And obviously the lineup is stacked. My only issue is having to use Eddie mathews at third (since I like to run primary’s except at catcher obviously). I do well enough with Mathews but wish there was an older guy lmao

Yeah, I agree. Mathews and Mantle are my only two guys who debuted in the 50s (but I think they both debuted in like 51 or 52, so this still pretty much on-theme).
I am currently using Jackie at 3B and Eddie is on the bench. Not necessarily because he isn’t as old as the rest of the old farts, but I’ve just had a really good year with Jackie and can’t take him out of the lineup (which is a nice surprise, because I was terrible with him last year).
Hopefully we get Josh Gibson to put behind the plate on our theme teams next year, and maybe someone like Home Run Baker to slide in over at third!
