Is The Show 20 worth getting for $10?
-
Wondering if the low price makes it worth it or it'll just be frustrating and aggravating compared to 19 as I've heard repeatedly.
Admittedly, haven't checked in a while. So appreciate any thoughts on pros and cons and whether there have been any updates that actually makes it less frustrating. Thanks!

Depends on how you like it. Which modes do you play?
RTTS yes.
MTO hard yes.
Franchise yes only if you want to half rebrand teams.
Custom Leagues definitely yes. Wait, it will be new for you. If you want to play against people in a league setting with either your DD squad or real squads without the dodginess of facing random people, this is worth the buy in.Ranked, events, conquest, COTW, probably more of the same.
EDIT: forgot to mention that in the season-based modes, using the new Show presentation template you do get a lot more stats shown during a plate appearance, which is really cool.

We all rip the show for various reasons but no doubt this would be the best $10 game you could possibly buy

What are the main differences in gameplay from '19? Other than too many line drive outs and some pitching control issues, I still enjoy it a lot.
So it's more an issue of wondering if it will be too frustrating to play this and build a team when I'm pretty much enjoying the experience I'm having. Also, how hard is it to get premium cards like Mickey Mantle? That's the other incentive. Though I'd sure miss Ichiro.
Thanks for the input.

Also, will it be too late to be able to earn certain players? I thought I saw a post on folks missing out on Gehrig and Ruth.

Mantle is the reward for collecting all the Live series cards... like Willie Mays was last year. Ruth and Gherig can actually be collected for free if you can complete their moments.
It's $10... If you still play 19 then give 20 a shot.
Just remember that the final 11th Inning Program just started, so the game is winding down. This might actually be fun though. All the juiced cards are out and most aren't difficult to collect anymore.

Thanks. That's one of the things I was worried about since I came to 19 late and couldn't finish programs to get cards. Like, I had no [censored] shot at Mays.
-
Lol. I don't know what got censored there since I was just trying to say I had no shot. I wasn't all that riled up about it.
-
Yeah. You're pretty late to the game... but for 10 bucks you don't have much to lose.
-
honestly get the Japanese sipirts game, exact same controls but better overall
-
Drop 10 fish and get to grinding.

I bought The Show 20 for $10 about a week ago. I already have Mantle. It's super easy to get decent cards and stubs in 20 if you know what you're doing.
-
Besides the price, one of the main reasons why I upgraded was because I got a PS5 and 19 kept crashing on it. Apparently there are issues with the backwards compatibility for 19 and older. 20 runs great on it though.

Haha. Did you get it yet?
-
No, but I probably will soon. I just picked up a Ruth in '19 so I'll probably play that a while before moving on, but likely will buy '20 before the sale ends.
-
Well HMU if you decide to get it.

If you do get it, start with the moments in the 99 Seager Player program, and then try to complete the missions in conquest. You'll have a full diamond team with decent cards in a few hours. The collection is also worth doing if you're okay with flipping cards on the market a bit. 99 Corey Seager is great.

Thanks for the tip!
