Man, I couldn't wait to get home to check the new content. I decided 'Let me just try this Showdown' without knowing pitchers. Just go in cold.

I didnt fail, the Showdoen failed me. They dont want you to win.
I turned off the game and am playing NHL instead.
Cant remember the last time this game made me enraged, and it's not even worth the emotion anymore.

The thing that gets me is the way you are guaranteed to fail if you are aggressive and swing at pitches in the zone early in counts. It’s pretty infuriating.

Here’s a fastball in the zone. Put your pci on it and hit a ground ball or fly ball out.

Yikes. As a former NHL player (19 was the last straw for me) I know just how bad things have to be to go back to that awful franchise. This is a man in pain folks....

I tried the new one a few times last night but didn’t do well. The draft didn’t help as there weren’t a lot of sluggers, yet several early missions requiring extra base hits. To make it even worse, in both drafts I had three rounds each of only pitchers... so I only had five bats on the whole team, and was forced to take a second starter or reliever that I absolutely didn’t need.

I didn't say NHL 21 was a savior, lol. I still play EASHL and am a bit fed up with the series as with Madden. That one I gave up on after '19. I need my NHL fix and I like the trophies they tied to Be A Pro. That's why I'm playing this years.

The boss matches weren’t as bad as the rest. The opening round of the draft they gave me all pitchers. Went into the final showdown having to score 7 runs. I recorded 7outs over 100mph. Had to hit a solo shot with Bogaerts to win it with 3 outs left. My reward was Sutter who isn’t selling for much.. feel like I’d rather just to the TA showdown instead.
