Ranked should just be AS up to 500 and then HOF from 500-900. Also, the higher ranked person should dictate the level the game is played at, not the lower person. I think that would fix the issue that we get when we're trying to move from AS to HOF or HOF to Legend. It also makes the lower level person earn their trip up instead of penalizing the person already ranked higher.

Just I care less about the pitcher screen and people being home or away. I'd rather see them add DH, give 26 man rosters like real life, and allow us to set lineups for LH/RH pitchers. This gives us more variety to lineups with cards we may never use in the field and then are willing to make more offensive/defensive substitutions.
I really like what you said about 1. I agree 100%. As for 2, that would be better than what it is now so I can get behind that. And 3, I could go either way about knowing the handedness of the pitcher. I’d still alternate my lineup spots with Righties and Lefties even if I knew who was starting.

I'd like an explanation on what all the various ratings/attributes mean. In the old days you'd get a paper users manual with a game. Can't they provide a digital copy on their website so we know if we want to go after guys with contact, power, vision etc.
Second thing I want is an overhaul with their ratings system. Outside of a few exceptions Legends and HOFers need to be the best players in the game period. No one is currently limiting you from using whatever player you want BUT to those that complain that a still overrated Postseason Kevin Kiermaier 92 isn't useable, SDS could create specific events or other modes to use these players in. FS should max out at 85-90 IMO. Also, PS cards are a joke right now.

I'd like for my pitchers to not lose their release point and all their confidence just because I gave up a leadoff jack. I also would want to take away slide stepping. You could replace it with like maybe the pitcher goes through his windup quick and the cater gets a little extra juice on the throw. Slide stepping is just brutal with guys that have outlier.

This is new information for me. How does having an outlier affect slidestepping?

MLBTS20 has been great. There is no such thing as perfection but this game plays more or less fair, and the content has been outstanding.

Pitching. We have to be able to control our misses. If I aim just off the black and execute my pitch perfectly, the game shouldn’t “correct” me and put that pitch in the zone. Intentionally throwing balls is an important part of pitching. Sure, I could intentionally not execute my pitch, and hopefully get a ball, but it might also result in a hanger. Now, not executing your pitch and getting a hanger as a result is fair, but successfully executing your pitch and not have it go exactly where you aimed is not. I think SDS should really focus on improving pitching and actually market that as a selling point leading up to the release.

Difficulty Choice. You know how there are inning bosses that we get to choose from? Why not Ranked Seasons with difficulty choice? For me, playing on AS is a horrendous experience, especially at places like Shippet. Why not allow the users to choose to play every single game in a particular season on the same difficulty setting? The rewards can be equally valuable. You could have, say, an AS Ranked Path with Griffey as a WS Reward, a HOF path with Pujols, and a Legend path for Chipper. They could allow a user to play all three simultaneously, or you could force a choice and lock a user in to that difficulty for the entire season. To me, the different experiences in playing H2H on different settings is maddening. If I could, I’d play everything on HoF—BR, Events, and Ranked. The constant changes are frustrating. It’s like a different game every time.

The lag on the pitcher select and lineup screens that tips the users off to who is the home team has to be remedied. Either eliminate that lag, or consider a game to be underway at that point and backing out results in a loss. I don’t know how to fix it, but something must be done about that.

They won't have different versions of Ranked. It will alienate to many of the player base.

That won't work. Some people have different lineups and if they accidentally go into a game and see they have their 'Grinding' lineup activated and not their 'Ranked' lineup; they may want to back out to change it.
Actually, the ONLY way to incorporate a 'fix' for all 3 of your suggestions, that would be fair, is to GET SERVERS THAT CAN HANDLE THE TRAFFIC

Make sure you have the correct squad before starting your game. No one’s fault but the users on that one.
2) They'll alienate people that can't/won't play on those levels of difficulty. There is no way to fix this.

You make Ranked Seasons one difficulty throughout (AS) and you alienate the players who want it on HOF. And vice-versa.

You make two depending Seasons and you have two separate Reward tiers, you have the lower level people complaining that they can't get the higher rewards without having to buy stubs; while the higher level players can get both sets of Rewards (if they choose to play in AS).
3). Ok, then what if this happens: You say if they back out at that screen, they get a loss. So what happens if they just sit there and don't continue. They don't back out, they just sit there. The game won't load and now you have two people sitting there waiting for the other person to continue. It would be a way to cheat wins.
Again, the main reason for people backing out, other than wanting to know who is Home/Away, is because 90% of the time it 'lags' is it means that the connection isn't good. (I've [censored] through a few times and even though there was no 'lag'; I still needed up as the Away team. So I don't think that explanation is solid.
So as I stated before, THEY NEED SERVERS THAT CAN HANDLE THE TRAFFIC!
We will agree to disagree on the second one. I’m talking about multiple paths in the same season. So a user can choose what difficult they want to play on. That’s not alienating in my mind. That’s having choices to select your gaming experience.
You bring up a good point about people just sitting there at the pitcher select screen, but I think that could be solved by having a timer going, similar to a pause timer. But if better servers correct the problem then I’m all for that.
As for your ALL CAPS about the servers, please stop yelling. It’s not even 8am on the west coast. Lol. Just kidding.
Ahhh. I see what you're saying now about Ranked. That could work.

My thinking on 3 is that it would allow for more strategy. It's also a part of real baseball. Even when teams use the opener, the other manager has a general idea of who the bulk guy for the game is going to be.
There's other things I'd like to see changed for 21 as well, but I don't see them happening. Mainly, getting rid of the 125 stat category. I liked the idea of giving all time greats, or exceptional season (MVP or Cy Young) cards a little boost, but it shouldn't be everyone and their mother with 125 ratings. Go back to a 99 cap and add Outliers for power, contact and speed that give a performance boost.
The other two would be fixing the hitting engine and commentary. "Good" should be just that a good hit, not lazy fly balls and weak grounders. It doesn't mean it should always find grass or be a HR, but that it feels good. The feedback window is still off so much for hitting. I'd also like to a see a complete overhaul to the commentary to be more conversational and less robotic. Again, I don't see either of those things happening next year. Maybe and I mean maybe for MLB 22 when they get more of a focus on next gen. -

My main two things are pitching and the no sense of urgency on defense.

My problem with pitching is that you have guys with mid to high 90's control who's don't go where you want over half of the time with perfect release. To me if a major leaguer with great control (ex. Greg Maddux) gets a perfect release on a pitch, it should go exactly where you placed it more times than not. It's really annoying when it goes a pretty good distance away from where you want it to where it is a ball way out of the zone that most people wouldn't swing at or leaking toward the middle of the plate. My other problem with pitching is that the release point doesn't make sense sometimes. if I have a right handed pitcher facing a right handed batter and I set up a pitch on the inside black then if i release the pitch early it should either hit the batter or be a ball inside, not a ball that goes more in the zone.

With fielding my main issue is the lack of urgency by the players. A runner could be running home and the outfielder will take their sweet time throwing it in and the runner will just be safe whereas if the the outfielder had some urgency there is a better chance the runner would have been out. Same with catchers and infielders taking five seconds to get a tag down and allowing the runner to get in safe. there is also the infielders who take their tame and allow runners to make it to first and the outfielders who do unnecessary crow hops and take 10 seconds to get the ball in. My thing is that these are supposed to be major leaguers yet they have the urgency of little leaguers and throw the ball in as if they have to get their whole body behind the throw on every throw like we used to have to in little league because we were small.

Im not a good hitter so when I get a perfect perfect hit it needs to fall somewhere. thats my biggest issue

That's just not realistic though. In real life, guys hit missiles all the time that get caught and bloopers that drop in. That's baseball.

It doesn't its just that 102 mph with a slide step looks like 120 mph.

This guy gets it. Can’t go with point 3 though, it’s just going to result in line ups of 125/125 platoon hitters top to bottom and players then trying to reverse exploit it by using a LHP as an opener then bringing out the righties. We don’t need that can of worms.

I did mention further down that i think 125 stats should be gone. Extreme power or speed position players should get an outlier perk just like pitchers who throw over 100.
