What is considered a lot of RS games played at this point? Just played a guy with 700 and feel like that's a lot

Around/over 1000. This is equal to about 4 games a day and 120 games a season

1 a day is about 210+ depending on how early they started. So maybe twice that 4-500 could be considered "a lot" but it all depends on how much time someone plays and how often they rage quit in the first inn.

I usually play 1500-2000 a year, unless I burn myself out or the game play is really bad. I’m on the higher volume side, but I mostly play RS.

How is that possible? Are you single and this is your biggest hobby? That’s about 6 games a day if hitting 2000 games in a year.

I won’t play 2000 games this year, I might hit 1500 (Currently at 1139 this year), but I’m not really enjoying the game that much. I’m not single, but the show is probably my biggest hobby, yes. I used to play the game every day for a few hours minimum, but this year my work situation has changed due to COVID-19, I’ve actually had to work quite a few more hours than I would in years past, so my gaming time is less as a result. Ideally, I’d love to have time to play 2000 RS games per year again, but the cards would have to fall right in terms of having lots of spare time and crucially, gameplay would have to be fun enough to keep me engaged. Neither of which is currently the case.

700 seems like a pretty good amount for a diehard player. Not too crazy. Everyone has a different cup of tea. Some guys play virtually no offline modes and 95+ percent. Some the opposite. Some play events and BR and very little RS. Some only play RS when they play online. A guy that has played 1000 hours this year could be 850-750 in RS and another guy that has played the same hours could be 85-55.

I have played around 450 hours and only 56 RS games this year and virtually zero BR and event games. Maybe 10 total all year. Where as 2 years ago with the same amount of hours played I would probably be at about 150 RS games played with many BR runs and probably at least 30 games from every event. Just wasnt feeling online play this year. But I love the game in every other aspect.

I should have said “you probably don’t have younger kids”...I had so much free time when married before the kids came, that is a ball game changer, a good one, but a changer.

I'm not afraid to admit I've played 1013 games. While I have not done very well its in the name of improvement. Also, I am disabled and video gaming is all I have until I'm recovered from a surgery I recently had and the weight loss surgery that will follow it.

I have just over 300. My previous high was around 50. Got really into it this year with myself getting laid off due to Covid. Pretty reasonable to expect most of us who take the time to come onto a forum to discuss the game to be hardcore players. Haha.

Yeah, my kids are 18 and 13 now, so the eldest is off dating a never ending stream of boys, pandemic be damned, while the younger one plays fortnite and whatever else. I might take a year off in 2021 and do nothing, I did that for a few years before and never got bored of sitting around playing MLB the Show as my main occupation, lol.

I’d love to go across the pond and see some live baseball, I was going to try and make London for the Red Sox/Yankees but it sold out super fast, plus tickets were pretty overpriced for what it was. With corona restrictions, I doubt it will happen any time soon, but I appreciate the sentiment!
