Wish Didi coulda gotten Phillies finest. I don't know how he did but Realmuto is pretty underwhelming and Didi has one of the best swings in the game

I was as surprised as you are and you know my bias. I figured because of his Awards card he wouldn't get one, but, he did and I'm not at all upset about it. I am happy we got 19s Arenado and 17s Neshek though. Very pleased.

Have you taken a look at the difference between Finest and Awards Story? I was wondering and haven’t looked yet.
I want that Nolan but don’t know if I want to lock in all those finest.

This is kind of what I was saying. Not so much who you want, but who might have deserved it more. For the Phillies, their best players this year were probably Wheeler, Nola, Harper and Realmuto. Maybe Segura. Wheeler and NOLA have those Topps Now. Harper already has a 99. So Realmuto makes sense.

Yeah but Trevor Story definitely deserves a 99. This coming from a Giants fan who had more gray hairs this past season then ever because of him.

Finest has better CvR. CvL, PVL. Diamond defense, 90+ arm, but 5 less speed. Awards has 90 speed, Finest 85.

In general I think they nailed all the picks.
Of course you could debate maybe 3-4 teams on the pick but I dont think there is a debate that those selected didnt deserve to be selected

I agree. It was pretty easy to predict the picks. Look at the highest LS card for each team that had not been in another program. That's pretty much who they went with.

most of my "complaints" would be situations with the extra finest from certain teams and the 3 padres in that list but someone like ryu I felt could have gotten the 99 for the jays off the top of my head

Should’ve been Ryu over Gurriel. Hell, it should’ve been Teoscar over Gurriel. Ryu was nominated for the Cy Young (zero chances he wins but still) and Teoscar won the Silver Slugger award. Jays got the shaft the whole year in TA. Could easily have swapped Ryu with Lourdes and would make more sense
