That's all we ask? Who's we? I feel like you're standing alone on this one. If we had a vote on the ability to fix one thing, I don't believe the majority would choose hitting as you described.
Although getting good timing/good pci go for outs may be frustrating and a valid issue amongst some, I feel like pitch accuracy and check-swinging issues would be in the forefront of gameplay issues. At least that's what seems to be the consensus based on previous posts in this community forum.

For me it is the inconsistency in hitting. then Pitches floating. then check swings. but great points as well

I agree completely. Look at world series players at the end of a season. 90% of good players in this game have super high eras and super high averages. Feels like every game isn't about who pitches better its who hits better. Yet we still complain way more about hitting

For all of the negativity, I try to bring some positive vibes here. I know that SDS is not perfect, but they are not as bad as some people think. I for one love the game. Sure it has it's down moments, as all games do, but I like it! I enjoy getting to play, and talk with people on here. Obviously there are the people like you who just come to be negative, MOST of the time, not all the time. I just try to have a positive outlook. If you don't like that, scroll past my posts. I HOPE that some people appreciate it, but who knows! -

Pitch accuracy. Basically every game is a slugfest because of how many hangers the game forces. This shouldn't be.
I dont know what happened, but the pitching is 19 wasn't like this.
Good players already score a ton of runs, but aren't able to keep below a 4 era? Pitching is broken - especially offspeed and breaking pitches forcing a meta that involves the sinker and cutter focus. Top that off with often needing velocity to make your pitcher usable.
Movement and guys with incredible breaking stuff should be usable and competitive. Curveball should actually be useful. Pitchers with nasty breaking stuff should have insane h9s or something to reflect how hard it is to square up their stuff.
That makes things arguably even worse pitching wise.

I put it away, the pitch doesn’t break. No one walks, it’s just time up, mash the buttons, home run derby. Pitching definitely needs an improvement in 21.

I played a game today, 17 home runs total, it was at laughing mountain and back and forth for awhile, Even with that, it wasn't fun, I don't find that type of gameplay fun. It was the last straw, I'm not going to be away for awhile, I cannot play at Shippett or Laughing Mountain and stay sane.

Exactly my thoughts. I usually have an era In the low 3s and can make cs almost every season. This season I am 9-12 with and era over 5. Seems everyone can hit everything, and if you try to spike one in the dirt, the ai will just hang it for them. I’m someone who prides myself on my pitching so I definitely do not find these swingfests enjoyable.
It’s funny, a couple of months ago, I was complaining about the opposite. Seemed every game I was playing was a 2-1, low hit game. I guess be careful what you ask for because it seems hitting was turned way up. I don’t know what happened, I doubt there was any major change this late In the game cycle, but I’m scratching my head wondering what happened to pitching
