I haven't, no. It's clutter a this point, in previous years the Finest cards were end game cards. This year they're not. Oh well.

Like I’ve said up to this point, it hasn’t been confirmed that these aren’t just replacing the fan vote finest cards from last year. We still haven’t seen Soto, Machado, Bieber, Bauer etc.

Well I'll be patient then kind sir.

Never mind. Bieber just announced. They could still potentially do finest selects but it is much less likely now

Some of y’all gotta realize that not every card is supposed to be on the same level as Mantle or Mays. These are supposed to be fun cards to use. Some of them will be really good, while some will be decent. Personally, I play with cards I want to use rather than the best cards, and I still make WS.

I'd venture to guess a card or two will find their way into competitive lineups, or might click with some players, but they don't seen to be universally best in position. But it's early in the reveals as well.

Anyone know if these cards will be able to be sold on the market?

My personal belief is they will be, only because TA3 was. I feel like once they open that door, can’t really go backwards.

Yeah that's what I was thinking also. I just haven't heard anything official yet so was just curious.

No. But I think that was the original intent of team affinities anyway. Other than the TA1 cards at the start of the season, have any of them really been used besides TA2 Jones, Gorman, Lodolo and TA3 Wood, Orel, Leiter? No

uh, Brock, Brett, Smoltz, Thome, Davis...the list goes on. TA 3 cards are still very much end game, and better than these Finest so far.

I’ll give you Thome, but Brett and Davis I only saw used for maybe 3 weeks, Brock is a pinch runner, and Smoltz is Garbage online. Absolutely not one of those guys is better than the finest revealed so far. No one has Brocks speed yet, but Candelario is better than Brett, Gallen and Beiber look better than Smoltz, Davis as low contact numbers, and Freeman is Identical to Thome with better fielding

I mean, Prestige Brock is still hitting close to 400 for me in several hundred AB's. Prestige Smoltz has an ERA below 1 for me, averaging 2K's per inning. Prestige Brett is a .355 hitter with massive pop.

Because YOU don't do well with them does not mean they aren't great cards.

I’m not saying these aren’t great cards and I’m not saying I play poorly with them. I’m just saying the finest cards revealed so far are either on par or better than the TA3 cards is all. The original point was that these cards were underwhelming compared to TA3. Attributes wise they are on par or better. Some people just don’t like them because WHO the card is and they wanted/expected something different even though all signs pointed that TA4 would be finest from the get-go.

I can count on one hand the number of people who would rather have a scrub like Lou Brock in their lineup rather than an all time legend like Jaimer Candelario.

Fair point. Maybe they'll still blow us away with some guys, but I doubt it. Maybe a collection reward could make it worthwhile.

I'm currently eyeing up a possible Soto (Lefty bench-bat, possible left-fielder for me). and I'm intrigued by Jacob Degrom, who has had his velocity go way up into the 100's, can you imagine a Jacob Degrom with outlier, I want that.

I never like DeGrom, so he wouldn't excite me. Juan Soto on the other hand definitely would. Or Mookie Betts. Or Chris Davis, but unfortunately the honors went to Santander😉.

I would be disappointed with Mookie Betts simply because I want his 2018 MVP more lol

I like Anderson and Bieber so far. Cruz would make for a good pinch hitter against lefties. That’s it for me.

George Brett and Tony Gwynn are doing awesome for me in the event. They get around on the ball well on Hall of Fame. Brett hit a walk off for me last night. I think any card can be fun to use depending on the situation
