A Rod and Beltran and I’ll be happy. Randy Johnson and Pedro too.
Can’t believe I left off Pedro!!! Add him, Beltran and A Rod to the honorable mentions.

Cardinals need Scott Rolen, he is the last member of the MV3 of the early 2000's that we don't have
What about HOF players like Johnny Mize or Dizzy Dean? I always like to think that adding players like those, would make people actually learn about the deserving players that they might not know much about.

I wouldn't say no to them, but they just don't have the excitement on the level of guys like Chris Carpenter or Scott Rolen for me. I don't have an emotional connection to Dizzy Dean, I just know who he is.

Mize and Dean would be great, especially Dean! I have McGee on the Cardinals for the same reason, a deserving player people might not know much about. On an unbiased list, Dean would probably be the Cards representative, but wanted to put in a few “forgotten” favorites from my childhood.

Here for my bi-weekly we need a 1993 Silver Slugger David Justice from the Braves. Or a 1990 ROY, just make sure he is on the Braves.

Add David Justice to the honorable mentions. He moves to the top of the Braves list once Aaron gets in (with apologies to Phil Niekro).

Did I forget your favorite player? Did I list someone already in the game? Am I a [censored] moron? Leave your input below. Looking forward to your suggestions and comments.
Good list. With the Padres and Dave Winfield, I think we've had a Winfield card in the past but I could be wrong. Another Padre I'd like to see is Ken Caminiti. Steroids will probably keep him out but at least he owned up to it and apologized. A Cammy card from from his MVP series would be amazing. Switch hitter with power, contact and great defense!

Caminiti would be a good addition. I think Winfield, as well as a few others on my list were in past games, but SDS lost the rights or something. Jake Peavy would be another fun Padre to have in.

Oh yeah, good call. A Jake Peavy cy young card would be very cool!

Winfield was in 18, and unfortunately he wasnt very usable. His swing was terrible.

I would put a Nomo rookie year card and a Strawberry prime in there.
Dude I would love a Nomo. I imitated his delivery in little league but I would absolutely hate his delivery in the game lol. Could cook a steak by the time he releases the ball lol

Nomo would be so much fun to use. That delivery would be so unhittable.

And that’s why you shouldn’t limit it to 1 per team

Meh, half the point of the list was to limit it to one player per team. Of course there are gonna be tough decisions and personal favorites over better players. It’s like the equivalent on a “desert island disc” list.

Lol I remember this. I’m was so excited to get Winfield’s card and was so disappointed I couldn’t hit a lick with him. In Winfield’s defense, no contact hitter could hit in 18. Would like to see how he would do in this years game. Plus Steinbrenner was an [censored] to him. That’s neither here nor there, but any chance I have to rip George Steinbrenner, I’ll take

Winfield hit over 450 HRs. He was a slugger. SDS didnt reflect it with that card. It's too bad.
