Was the RIB program a failure?
-
I've done the RIB conquest map at least 14 times (on my 15th) now and it's been a great way to make stubs. I've had fun with it and i actually think it's a fun grind i only wish SDS could switch up the teams a bit so it's not so repetitive. So no it's not failure to me at least.

Hell no, I love it. It gives us offline players something to do. I've done the conquest map 5-6 times.
This.

I am not an offline player, but I could see it being something to do.

Been doing this conquest nonstop for 3 HL bundles a pop!
My ONLY critique: Wind blowing in AT LEAST 3/4 of the time is driving me insane

I’ve probably done the conquest map 15-20 times, never stealing. But I do play 6 turns before taking the white Sox, get territories all the way to the Yankees so at minimum you’re getting 5 per turn and you shouldn’t have to play on anything higher than All-Star. Also, if you choose your 4th starter for the Sox and your 5th starter for every other game you only face lefty starters, so just load up the lineup with righties and it’s a super easy and casual way to make stubs. One of my favorite programs of the whole year tbh
I’ve been doing the same, just trying out different righties that mash lefty pitching.

You can also just pick the 5th CHW SP and the 4th SP for every other team and get all RHP. This way, you can rotate your lineup around and stack either side. I prefer the RHPs myself since it allows me to bomb away with Trout, Tatis, Harper, Postseason Correa and many others.

I have lost track of how many times I have completed this. I just get all of the territories first and then play the strongholds on veteran or rookie after that. It is a great mindless way to get some innings in and still make some stubs at the end. This helped me get to 1,000,000 stubs for the first time.

1mil? Wow, you must have done it a lot.
I forget: Are the packs inside the map repeatable also? -
No - the 1500 stubs & XP and the RIB Pack are all that is repeatable.

RIBbed conquest map for her pleasure.

I do the conquest map, conquer the all the territories first then do the strongholds. I think I've made 4 runs at it, can get it done in an hour or so now.
I'm debating playing the map until I'm insane so I can get Chipper.

The fact that these cards are free and easy to get, but the high tier cards (Goldy, Jones, Smith, etc) are still nowhere near QS makes me wonder if people just aren’t even bothering with the whole RIB thing. The conquest map is so cramped that it basically requires a couple steal rounds. So a runthrough ends up being 9-10 games instead of just the 6 strongholds. And showdown just sucks. Also, a lot of the awards are pretty bland, and stubs are so easy to come by that it seems like more effort than it’s worth for a 20K card.
Has anyone done it more than even one or two times? I did it twice, but at this point I’m probably just gonna buy the few cards that I’m halfway interested in.
Every time I need to do stats for a program now I jump into the RIB conquest. I completed all the PS part I challenges and got 20k flying through the map ️

I bet when TA4 drops and every team has a new stat grind that I'll be doing most of that in the RIB map. It looks like I'm the only one who isn't an RIB aficionado, but maybe that'll change.

I echo the sentiments of fellow offline players that I have played though this many, many times.
On a related note, you guys know that you can keep adding reinforcements to the same spot to keep increasing the number right? Basically reinforce then skip through move, attack, and steal and then rinse/repeat. That way you can play at whatever level you want if you do that enough.

That's what I do. Only the upper left hexagon gets attacked from a stronghold if I'm remembering correctly. So I just put 7 or 8 fans there, take care of the territories and then sim til I play on veteran at first. After about 2 strongholds you can play on rookie if wanted.

I've done it... a lot. Probably 15 times? I use the map for the following:
- For "warm up" if I haven't played on-line in a few days.
- To gain program stars for "play 15 innings with X-team".
- To get Prime/Signature players for collections.
- Just to try out new cards.
- For the "99 World Series" missions.
As a side note... I ALWAYS play 6 games, maximum, always at All-Star level. On the replays, there's no need to steal fans. I just work the map until I can play a stronghold at All-Star level.
Until the RIB program came out, I replayed the "Willie Mays" conquest map 2 or 3 times. But, as you probably know, that map takes forever to get through, but at least you got 10 packs at the end. I find the RIB conquest map much more... lucrative?
On a final note... Triumvirate! I just wanted to reuse that word.

I did it twice. I took Baez and Waino. Then just bought Wade Davis. Grandy looks cool but he should’ve been released in May.....not now. Still glad they made it available though. Cool cards!

Haven't even opened it up. Don't see the point.

I like it just because I can do that conquest map over and over. It's helped me with collections and making stubs.
