Was the RIB program a failure?
-
The fact that these cards are free and easy to get, but the high tier cards (Goldy, Jones, Smith, etc) are still nowhere near QS makes me wonder if people just aren’t even bothering with the whole RIB thing. The conquest map is so cramped that it basically requires a couple steal rounds. So a runthrough ends up being 9-10 games instead of just the 6 strongholds. And showdown just sucks. Also, a lot of the awards are pretty bland, and stubs are so easy to come by that it seems like more effort than it’s worth for a 20K card.
Has anyone done it more than even one or two times? I did it twice, but at this point I’m probably just gonna buy the few cards that I’m halfway interested in.

Hell no, I love it. It gives us offline players something to do. I've done the conquest map 5-6 times.
-
I believe I am currently on my 23rd RIB conquest map run through. I enjoy the grind, the pack is a nice bonus.
Edit: Oh and it should only take 8 games total, 2 against the white Sox on all star, the rest on veteran.
-
It only takes the 6 strongholds to complete, no stealing.. I think I've done one a day.. I'm an offline player so it helps me make stubs.. I had 200k when it came out and now I'm over 1 million.. and I've bought a bunch of cards.. like abbyspapa said, helps us offline players out. Maybe I'm in the minority but it's helped me out for sure

19 times. They still won't give me Wainright.
I too am shocked that they haven't fallen to QS value yet, but I'm certainly not complaining about it.
-
I can't even count how many times but upwards of 50 probably. Free ~25K stubs each time and I use this map to do the daily missions and just causally drink and play. No idea why the cards are still so expensive but good by me as the RIB cards are also pretty good flips.
-
I’ve done it probably 20 times. It’s very easy. I requires one steal on veteran and then all of the rest of the games can be played on veteran.
I think a lot of people did It, no too few, because before the headliners bundle crashed the market I think the easy money from the RIB packs was a large factor in how expensive everything was.

I did the showdown twice the other day. No lie the first time I went in 12-12 and Cliff Lee shut me the fk down. Not one run. I tried again right after and went in 10-12. Yup I lost. I suck
-
I've done it 4/5? times so far. It's an easy 6 games for dailies and a 20k+ value pack. No need for any steal, just beat the Sox first round and build from there.
-
I’ve probably done it 3-4 times. Just when I’m working on my daily inning missions. You don’t have to play any higher level than you want to. You can keep advancing (and taking spots to build up as many fans as you want). I’ve usually played Sox on AS and the rest veteran, but it’s pretty easy to get Sox to veteran too. I only play the six strongholds.
I bought the cards from it that I wanted pretty early on and now the pack is just a free 25k or so each time I finish. Not bad for just doing the dailies that way. I am surprised the prices haven’t dropped lower.

I used it for the potm and postseason stat grind. One play through is enough to get all the stats you need and a free card on top.

I’m a little surprised it’s this popular, but I’m glad so many of you dudes are enjoying it! I love conquest so frankly I’m a little surprised that I’m not digging it a lot more (now that I think about it, maybe Conquest Extreme sorta burned me out on the mode for a bit?).
Maybe it’s also because I already have almost all the RIB cards that initially appealed to me — Goldy, Jones, Lee, Blyleven, and Perez. I will probably run through it again for Holland and Davis. Anybody else I should snag if the mood strikes me to play the map again? I’m sure no one will make my primary squad, but I always like collecting fun cards that I can whip out every now and again when I want to impress the ladies.

I do it almost every day in between online games, and it's at least 20k stubs. I do it in 7 games, 6 strongholds, 1 steal on HOF for 4 million. It also gives me a chance to try out new players before using them online so there is some familiarity even thought they may play differently online vs. offline. Also good for stat grinds so you can double dip.

I’ve enjoyed Billy Williams

I’ve probably done the conquest map 15-20 times, never stealing. But I do play 6 turns before taking the white Sox, get territories all the way to the Yankees so at minimum you’re getting 5 per turn and you shouldn’t have to play on anything higher than All-Star. Also, if you choose your 4th starter for the Sox and your 5th starter for every other game you only face lefty starters, so just load up the lineup with righties and it’s a super easy and casual way to make stubs. One of my favorite programs of the whole year tbh

I think you may enjoy using Wainwright. And for some reason I had fun with Andrus, too

Much better reward and easier/quicker than the U.S. map. So, I'm a fan of it.

Use it for dailies have finished it 3-4 times. I just play on HOF for the first 3 then Allstars for the rest. It’s really easy.
