Was the RIB program a failure?
-
Much better reward and easier/quicker than the U.S. map. So, I'm a fan of it.
-
Use it for dailies have finished it 3-4 times. I just play on HOF for the first 3 then Allstars for the rest. It’s really easy.
-
I don’t steal fans at all. I play WS and As on All star, the rest all vet. Just the strongholds and I’m done.

The fact that these cards are free and easy to get, but the high tier cards (Goldy, Jones, Smith, etc) are still nowhere near QS makes me wonder if people just aren’t even bothering with the whole RIB thing. The conquest map is so cramped that it basically requires a couple steal rounds. So a runthrough ends up being 9-10 games instead of just the 6 strongholds. And showdown just sucks. Also, a lot of the awards are pretty bland, and stubs are so easy to come by that it seems like more effort than it’s worth for a 20K card.
Has anyone done it more than even one or two times? I did it twice, but at this point I’m probably just gonna buy the few cards that I’m halfway interested in.
I do it to support my pack addiction. I like to stack it with the 9th inning Showdown. After you sell the RIB player and add that to the stubs you make doing both Showdowns you typically have around 35k in stubs to buy headliners bundles along with a few standard packs to open with the 10 pk. and the other packs you can earn in the 9th inning Showdown. When I hit big I buy myself something nice then lock it in. After selling 97 Chapmans, and Ted Williams on separate occasions just to buy packs along with many others I had to start locking everything in as a safe gaurd against pack addiction.

It's easy. It's free diamonds and/or stubs. I love this.

I use that map for my daily "innings with x team" mission. Play 1 game a day and just load up the team with players I'd never otherwise get to use. I only play the strongholds and then I just sell the card after. 20k is better than nothing, and it's a half decent warm up for the thumbs before entering online play.

I use it for Dailies. I've done it about over 30x since it came out; daily and twice on weekends. Yesterday was the first day I did only half; I'll keep it that way going forward, I'll take the 15K every other day! It is kind of a drag, especially if you lose focus and lose a game!

You can easily do the Conquest Map in 6 games with doing the CWS on AS and the rest om Veteran if you want to. I've switched to mainly online this year but I've done this map 4-5 times because the current WS event got stale very quick. Plus I knocked out PS stats in these games.

I did the showdown twice the other day. No lie the first time I went in 12-12 and Cliff Lee shut me the fk down. Not one run. I tried again right after and went in 10-12. Yup I lost. I suck
I completed it once but way too much randomness in showdown makes it an all or nothing event. Conquest FTW .

I actually prefer the showdown for RIB. I found it really easy, and less time consuming than conquest.

ive done the conquest map about 8 times. i usually do it on a worknight when i dont have anything going on. ive enjoyed it cause its simple and gives me cards to work towards
-
I still play RIB showdown daily. Good xp and money at the end.

I only play 7 only steal vs the Sox everything can be done on AS or Vet.

I've played it probably 25 times and have never done any steal rounds. I usually play the White Sox and A's on all-star and then just keep skipping turns until I have enough fans to bang it out on rookie.

I've done the RIB conquest map at least 14 times (on my 15th) now and it's been a great way to make stubs. I've had fun with it and i actually think it's a fun grind i only wish SDS could switch up the teams a bit so it's not so repetitive. So no it's not failure to me at least.

Hell no, I love it. It gives us offline players something to do. I've done the conquest map 5-6 times.
This.

I am not an offline player, but I could see it being something to do.

Been doing this conquest nonstop for 3 HL bundles a pop!
My ONLY critique: Wind blowing in AT LEAST 3/4 of the time is driving me insane

I’ve probably done the conquest map 15-20 times, never stealing. But I do play 6 turns before taking the white Sox, get territories all the way to the Yankees so at minimum you’re getting 5 per turn and you shouldn’t have to play on anything higher than All-Star. Also, if you choose your 4th starter for the Sox and your 5th starter for every other game you only face lefty starters, so just load up the lineup with righties and it’s a super easy and casual way to make stubs. One of my favorite programs of the whole year tbh
I’ve been doing the same, just trying out different righties that mash lefty pitching.

You can also just pick the 5th CHW SP and the 4th SP for every other team and get all RHP. This way, you can rotate your lineup around and stack either side. I prefer the RHPs myself since it allows me to bomb away with Trout, Tatis, Harper, Postseason Correa and many others.
