That WASNT a screw up. 99 Chipper WAS supposed to be a Player Program like Ruth; but when they realized that people were sitting on TONS of stubs, due to how easy it is to get them.this year, they switched him to a BR reward so people would spend those stubs.

So I’m looking at the 99 Chipper, we got 339 people in line at a cool Mill a piece for a chipper card that in my opinion, is not much better than the one you can get for free!! I mean........he’s just not. Not at a million stubs! I could see maybe 50-100k better, but the show nation is really drinking the SDS kool aid here!!! 339 lol unbelievable!!

That last five% of performance is expensive, and if you've got it, you might as well spend it. Besides, unless he is clearly below other 3rd base options, his switch hitting ability gives the spot to him for me.

Why not. Looking at it from a collectors standpoint, it doesn't matter what it costs, if it leaves a hole in your collection. Unfortunately because of prestige, there's plenty of that.
And still, there's nothing left to buy, with not much yet to come.
Is he worth a million? Perhaps not, but that's what the market will demand.

You gotta spend the stubs on something as they can’t transfer to the new game. I have every card worth a dang and stubs to blow, so what do you suggest? Keeping stubs as a flex even after hiding them to avoid the cap?
