Molina, Helton, Scherzer, and Dibble are all cheap and getting cheaper with unlimited headliner packs. I still use all of them and stubs are not an issue for me.
Stupid question: what is the value of the Headliners packs?
There’s not really any value, I bought some just because I haven’t opened packs in awhile. The value comes from the market, all headliners have dropped in price a ton.
That's so disappointing.

I think the biggest weakness is in the rotation, I would recommend Maddux, Kershaw, Kluber, and Seaver. Hang on to Gibson, hes a beast

This isn't exactly true. You play all MLB teams on All-Star difficulty, 3 inning games. Then you play Division all-star teams on HOF, 6 inning games. Then, you play a 9 inning game against a MLB all-star team, HOF difficulty. It's not hard, but it's a lot more innings than he stated. You will get a good SP, a great RP, and the Babe. It's worth it. I knocked it out in two days when it came out, I still use all the cards in RS.

POTM Bellinger, Sig series Hanley, Sig series John Franco and sig series Cole Hamels are all good cheap options to help your team. Also prime Syndergaard is decent for the price...

This isn't extreme. There is an extreme program again this year, but the Babe grind is the same as the SS games you probably played last year for Vlad Sr.

CP - Eric GagneI wouldn't call it a god squad but you could make WS with this roster. I'd upgrade 1B and LF, with 1B being the first move. So many players available that are an upgrade over Mattingly. If you're good with Gwynn he's serviceable. Doesn't have a ton of pop but will hit the gaps with good defense and speed. If you've got the stubs, I recommend Cobb, but Gwynn will get the job done.
And then as I saw in another post, overhaul your SP. Your bullpen is usable although Rodney and Alexander will likely get lit up at the higher levels. My favorite SP's are Scherzer and Maddux. You can also pick up Paxton via Monthly Awards.
Also get rid of Boggs and Perez off your bench and get some more power.
