Best option for cover player.

I know a lot of people have been speculating it will be tatis. That makes sense since he is so popular and the San Diego connection but I don’t see it happening. Whoever it is was signed long ago and if it was tatis it seems pretty dumb to give him that lightning card. The value to sds is having the pre orders where you get that player for preordering a deluxe edition. If it is tatis I don’t think there is anything they could do to the card to improve over his prestige card. I bought early the last two years to get the Harper and Baez cards. I’ll certainly buy the game next year but would have no reason to buy now for tatis. If they stick with a current player I think Mookie is probably the best option for pre sales. I think it would be interesting as hell to introduce a new legend this way. I would assume pre orders would set a record if you could get Aaron or Clemente in this years game by preordering next years version. Doubt they would do it since they will want to make you work for the card next year but I would imagine it would lock in a ton of preorders on day one and possibly bring people back to this years game for a month or two.

Mookie, Tatis, or a new legend are all probably more likely though. But did anyone really predict Baez last year? Could be someone we don't see coming.
