I am with you. This year's gameplay is the worst it's ever been, including 18. Content is amazing but I just don't enjoy playing anymore, especially online. What you described is the norm for me. Hitting is completely random and feels skewed to one side or the other. Pitching is horrendous. I feel like the only control I have on pitching is which pitch to throw. Using pure analog, I will consistently have perfect input and have the ball go over the middle of the plate or be completely wild. This game is usually the only one I play and I am finding myself putting in only a couple hours per week now. It's strange to me because SDS has listened to the fanbase in so many ways and each year, the main cries are for them to make user input matter more but year after year it matters less and less.

The game is just not fun anymore. Ranked seasons is a complete joke. Just played a game where I was losing 4-0 off of HR's that were PCI's of 11/11/11/12.
The guys was several games under .500 and was batting below .250 with over half his lineup.
Meanwhile I get to lineout and groundout on and hit warning track shots with 15/14 PCI's. It just isn't fun when people get rewarded for consistently bad gameplay and you're doing everything that you are supposed to to win the game.
Anyone else about fed up and done with it ?
I had like 5 instances where the "see you tomorrow" guy was right and I went back to RS after declaring I was done.
Last week I officially had it and haven't even come close to loading up a game. The only reason I'm even on the forums it so see if TA 4 drops since I want to cash in on my investments and just lock stuff in for fun.
I'm proud of my RS record as a first year player, but I won't be buying the Show 21 until I see if the RNG gets toned down (which I'm sure it won't).
Just a pathetic excuse for online gameplay by SDS (SDS = SuckyDevelopersStink)
tl;dr - Quit for real, its worth it!

Didn't say I should never lose. I've lost 161 times in Ranked season. If you can't see the point of my post then I really don't value your input whatsoever. Keep defending the game and let's see where that gets us

i hate seeing whiners its such an unattractive quality in a person
we all lose, we all have bad streaks, its how you conduct yourself that determines who you are as a person
this game plays great sometimes, and it frustrates you at other times
theres a lot of emotional infants in this forum and its great to keep them in check

If there was any confusion as to the point of my post I will clear it up. It wasn't a post saying I should always win. It wasn't a post to say the other person deserved to lose. I have lost plenty at Ranked season and don't mind losing. But when you are trying to defend a game that allows 4 HR's on what I believe was bad PCI placement. 3 11's and a 12. (maybe a 12 Hr is justified every now and then) While you're doing pretty much everything you are supposed to to hit the ball. 14' /15's. Even a Perfect that was right at the 2B... It just isn't fun to play anymore and really it hasn't been for quite a while.

I play offline because I don't have the luxury of playing online uninterrupted for 45 minutes. I was taking care of a family member earlier this year for a few mo ths before they passed away and am currently dealing with my own health problems. That is why I can't play ranked as much as I would like.

You're not worth the time. You call me a know it all when anyone that disagrees with you works for SDS. I can accept the shortcomings in the game but people like you can't accept that you lose so the game has to be trash.

Because I played online at the beginning and play events because they are quick. That doesn't fit your narrative so your gonna come up with some other excuse about how I dont know what I'm talking about. Its ok, keep believing you should win everything. Sometimes the game rewards your opponent when their inputs aren’t great. Sometimes you aren’t rewarded with P/P. It happens.
The thing is, the really good players—the “goons”—can consistently get good inputs and can overcome their opponent four lucky homers.
Those of us who aren’t that consistent get all mad when our good inputs aren’t rewarded because we don’t got them frequently enough to overcome our opponent’s lucky streak.
Face it, bro. You’re probably a slightly above average player. That’s it. Accept that you’ll win some and you’ll lose some. You’ll hit a homer on 11 PCI placement and you’ll give up homers on the same.
I’m in the same boat as you. I’m about 175-98 or so in RS. Good enough to win more than I lose, but not even close to being a “goon.”
Accept your limitations in life and find joy where you are, in video games and elsewhere. Otherwise you’ll die miserable.

I hit perfect/perfects with Trout, Walker, and Mantle last night, zero HR’s. Sometimes it happens. Im guessing most people that left did so because the season’s almost over and content has gotten stale not gameplay.

Bottom line is I think you're missing the point of my post. Why is it rewarding players for sub par input ? The game isn't fun when this happens. Just make the game better. That's it. That's all. reward people for doing what they should be doing and don't reward people for not doing what they are supposed to. The game isn't fun when it happens. If I knew everything was on an even playing field and the guy squares one up with good PCI placement then fine.
