I think most dashboardsare the result of awful SDS pitching programming. People get tilted when they have perfect pitch input and it goes down the middle.
I don’t buy that at all......
Lol it’s the truth.
Please, that’s a lame excuse made by those who dashboard.

It's non-stop in this event, I don't get it! It's an event game! For the love of god let a man get his prestige stats. I swear that 50% of my home runs are getting dashboarded.
Why is it so prevalent in this event? I don't get it. You still get an L. Do event losses seriously upset people that much? Just re-enter, it's FREE!
I wouldn't get too upset over dashboarding since people are going to do what they want. You just have to look at it from the standpoint that you get the automatic W and save time by not having to play the whole thing out in lieu of any stats you may have missed out on.
Additionally, you'll find that Prestige cards are somewhat overrated. When compared to the regular version card stats, you'll find that the difference isn't really that significant, and in some cases worse. At least that's what the consensus appears to be from previous discussions on this topic. Of course, there will be some exceptions.
As for myself, I have 6 Prestige cards total, 1 that I toggle with at SP position, 1 that I consistently use in my starting lineup, 1 that comes off the bench to pinch hit, and the other 3, I don't even use.

I never dashboard. I throw over to 1st to the max. I throw to 2nd to the max. I throw to 3rd to the max. I step out in the box, I press pause to the time limit. I step off the rubber to reset the pitch. I hold R2 to the max pre pitch. I intentionally walk hitters who I can know are only playing for program challenges like Rendon 6 RBI's, but I never dashboard. That is over the line.

According to you, dashboarding is over the line, but what you do isn't.
LOL, that's hilarious!

Correct. I only do these things when I play creeps.

If you bunt dance, I will dashboard
If you watch a home run, I will dashboard
If you take the extra lead ever time with every player. I will dashboard
If you hold r2, I will dashboard
Basically, if you play like an asshole, I will lose like one -

Basically, if you play like an asshole, I will lose like oneThis is funny as these are all the things that drive people crazy... I have been locked in 20 minute stalemates with guys who insist in taking the extra step lead every time with a speed burner base runner....I just step off everytime until they get so mad they stop doing it

That and the [censored] [censored] “friendly quit” bs as soon as the game starts and of course at shippet field. Swear I played 4 games in a row like that tonight. I want to slap the [censored] out of someone. That [censored] is the most childish thing ever. It’s a video game man. Like a video game. Why you get your butthole so tight trying to get a virtual W. I bet anything you have a small Johnson, like tiny. Probably like them dudes with them big [censored] trucks on big [censored] rims. SmalldickSyndrome

I empathize as I have honestly lost at least 10 home runs, hits, runs scored, , and 25 RBIs with Trout due to dashboarders.....add in I don’t play a ton of RS And can’t use hit at all in this months events, and that really screws up my trying to prestige him as well.....so agree, so low class and frustrating.
-
Yeah I'm done complaining or worrying about it cause there is nothing anyone can do to stop it because its allow to occur by virtue of how the playstations user interface was built and operates so no level of game coding can prevent an aspect of the systems own architecture.

I think it’s stupid that they tied prestige players to online stats mainly for this reason. There’s going to be dashboarding, it’s a given, it shouldn’t cost the player being dashboarded anything.
(Btw, I was using the “royal ‘you,’” not referring to OP specifically).

My thought is that it happens to me a lot and Ill do it to others until SDS fixes the problem

Can you help me understand what the friendly quit is about? Sometimes it happens in events and I’m even further confused about that.

I am not 100% sure how it works but they ask for a friendly quit and if you hit cancel or something then they get everything in their favor. Bloop hits, bad PCI home runs, errors galore their favor. No matter what you do everything goes against you. So now I just accept the quit and just have to start a whole new game

Yea I don’t think that’s how it’s done. You’re not getting back at the person who did it to you, you’re doing it to someone else who didn’t.
I have lost a ton of stats from being dashboarded. I never have and never will do it no matter what. I see zero point in it. If I’m that frustrated with the game at that point I will let it land and then quit.

100% facts

Meh.
If I've lost several games in a row, the game hangs one of my pitches on good or perfect input, and the other player gets a homerun... 50% chance I'm turning off my ps4 before I throw my controller at the wall or my monitor.
Sometimes it just gets that frustrating.
Usually I try to let the homerun land so players can get stats, but when the game has been [censored] me for multiple games in a row - especially in events where I'll play over an hour and not get a single win, well the ps4 might be going off. (If I've already almost broken my controller that day....)
Note this is specific to this event. I want the Goose and I have 43 wins.
Also what this guy said, 100%:
"i dashboard in events because i am rushing to get the Goose - if i am matched with tons of constant BR12-0 or WS guys, take the W please by all means - i will jump back in to play a lesser mortal and get W's as quick as possible"
