Monitor or TV

Just wondering what you guys use and also what rating your in for ranked.

I just got a monitor last week. I usually settle between 650-700 on ranked. I like the monitor, I have hit fastballs and stay back on breaking pitches but my results are only slightly better with this small sample size. I can see the difference in reading pitches and making swing decisions the most as would be expected

Monitor for me. My highest rank was 698... couldn't quite make it over the hump to 700. I hover in the 550-650 range. My excuse? I'm old and reflexes aren't what they were in my 20's. That's what I tell myself every night before I go to bed after another RS 3-2 loss.

I aspire to keep playing past my 20’s. You are an inspiration sir lol

Thanks for all the feedback. Just had a game against 99 Pearson on HOF on TV and that was not fun lol

Past your 20's!!! Good Lord! You're young enough to be my grandson (daughter). Almost...

I got a monitor a couple weeks ago and haven’t played a great deal of rs. But, I will say that, although I still can’t hit an up and in fastball, it’s definitely not as bad as when I played on TV.

I’ll add a wrinkle. I started playing on my 50” tv. And then after I completely rearranged my room, I set my ps4 up on my 32” tv on gaming/PC mode (so I could have a gaming setup and still watch tv) and I’ve noticed a night and day difference. My next move is getting a monitor, and I look forward to seeing the difference in that as well.

Let us know what you think. I love my monitor and can't go back.

I am using a monitor now
Not a top of the line on but alright and I dont notice a huge difference but that maybe more I've peaked on my skill level
That being said since I have monitors I can seamlessly play and watch postseason baseball at the same time so my level of play maybe impacted more by being distracted related more then skill related

That's me, 100%. Or at least it's one of the many excuses I use...

75" TV. Took me a few months to move to Gaming Mode - then a LAN cable, both those steps improved my play but whenever I want to make a run in Ranked I move to a 40" TV in a bedroom.
Looking for a monitor next season though due to how drastic of a difference I've noticed with the smaller tv. Also picked up KontrolFreek Thumbsticks in the past month. After I got used to them (takes a few days) I feel less cheated on my PCI placement.
