When is the New Years game usually announced and when does the new players usually stop coming out for the previous years (Show 20)? Thanks

Normally the cover boy is announced right around this time, new players keep coming up until the end, but significantly slow down come January.

MLB 18 and 19 were announced around Nov 7 while MLB 20 was announced October 21.
Now I would suspect around Nov 7 to be the announce date as last years announcement came earily to capitalize on the MLB 19 on PS plus and likely get some more pre orders.

PS4 version of 14 was delayed until May or June, hopefully we won’t see a similar thing for PS5 version of 21 or if it does happen, a free upgrade for PS4 version purchasers would be nice.
