Do we get a Sig Ruth?
-
Just doesn’t feel right not having a Ruth card with 125s across the board. Not when you’ve got cards like Tatis, Trout, and JRam with more power. What are the odds we get a sig Ruth as a BR reward? Have to figure that’d be the route they go since he was WS reward last year

I don’t know man this is my first year playing DD and they seem pretty good about spacing cards out. Not like madden where there’s 10 versions of every card. JRam has been the only duplicate so it’s possible but highly unlikely. Same reason I don’t think we see a 99 Griffey because we have a 98 that rakes.

We're very close to hitting that mark.
Honestly wish we reverted to having 1 single legend card per player. Obviously you can't do that with LS players, but for them 1 single flashback should be it (Finest exempt). Nobody needs a silver Babe Ruth, or a low diamond Mo.

Ruth is probably the best 1st basemen in the game. His card is just fine
-
Hopefully the odds are slim to zero. His card may not be a sig or prime this year, but last couple years it was. And they seem to not give every star a big card every year. And some guys just got their first sig cards this year after being in the game a while. And what this one lacks in hitting, feels stupid saying that, it makes up for with a, lol, 1st base secondary. yes, the Babe playing first base.

Good point about the 1B secondary. That may very well be why we don't get a Sig card.

At this point, a SIG Ruth better be a two way player Ruth.
-
SDS said it from the start that Award/Sig/Prime would be anyone’s highest card in this year. The only one not in this category is John Smoltz because his other 99 is a FOTF and cannot mix SP and CP into one card.

You do when you want to have your headline players available to use Day 1 but don't want to release their end-game versions on Day 1.

I don’t know why anyone would want a pitcher Ruth anyway. You know his windup and repertoire is extremely similar to walter Johnsom right? Except Babe throws left handed and low 90s instead of 102

I would find it fun. Plus you could hit him 3rd or something. The windups really aren’t too slow

True, but there's really no other reason for a Sig Ruth I can think of other than novelty at this point.

Hell will freeze over before you see 2 99 Ruths in the game... sorry

I just can't stand watching him waddle down the base paths...
