So I was trying to figure out my path for the Ramirez POTM. Trying to decide if I want to lock in the stubs to get him. Maybe can someone can help me with the math because the way SDS numbered this doesn’t make sense.

So I’ve done all the moments and most of the stat missions. I’m at 73 with 6 more to gain with one hit each from Smith and McNeil. That will give me 79. I can do the exchange then, but that won’t get me to the 90 for Mondesi. I can do the 15 for the collection and get Mondesi, that would bring me to 94 and then another 3 for his SB mission. But you still come up 3 short. So, I still have to do the exchange if I want Ramirez.

So, to get Ramirez, you have to do the xchange and collections (and then you could skip a couple stats if you want). To get Mondesi, you have to do the collection. But, then, you don’t get to use Mondesi as a plus-1 in the collection. Like what? Why is this numbered like this? Am I missing something here?

Also, that’s about 300k-plus stubs to get Mondesi and Ramirez (and Carrasco, but yawn). Is it really that worth it? I compared the Ramirez POTM to his finest and his POTM is better. But man, even for being flush with stubs, that’s a lot to blow for not much.

Yea some clown made this [censored] up. You have to do the collection to get Mondesi so why he shows up in the collection to use I have no F clue. I did all the moments then the missions until I had to do the collection then I just finished the easiest missions to get JRAM. Small sample size but Mondesi is electric man. My new fav leadoff batter. My first game with JRAM he hit two bombs one hit off the top of the wall for a double. I put Mondesi at second and sold Honus. Kept Tatis at SS and put JRAM at third(I was getting tired of Sheff). JRAM, Mondesi and Carlos are end game cards if you use them right. That Jeff McNeil card rakes to. Seems like a lot of upgrade for the stubs

You said, "JRAM, Mondesi and Carlos are end game cards if you use them right." What exactly do you mean. Also were you using McNeil on the bench or in the field. Thanks.

That was my thinking. I cashed out and made over 500k.
I had all of the Topps Now cards before the program, so I sold all of my cards except for a couple that I wanted. Got the packs from the program and sold those cards as well.

JRam looks good, but 500k is too good to pass up.

Just meaning for their strengths. Like Mondesi is not Hornsby or JRoll and vice versa. Some people don’t need a leadoff bat but if you do I don’t see anyone better. I moved mantle to #2 and having Mondesi in front of him has been fun so far. Carlos is a lot like Maddux. Some people hate pitchers like that or prefer fire ballers but his control is right up there with the best of them. I ran through the Mets TA and McNeil was crushing the ball. Even bad pci placement(which rarely happens). Did not notice his D in a good or bad way

I don't think you have to do the flection to get Mondesi.

The Moments, Stat Missions, and Exchange (at the end of the stat missions) will take you to 92.

I'f you want Ramirez; you HAVE to do the collection. But in my opinion, he isn't worth it.

Someone posted earlier that they sold all their TN cards eligible for his collection and walked away with over 300K in stubs.

One of the missions is to get 2 stolen bases with Mondesi. That gives you 3 points. Mondesi unlocks at 90 points so you will only have 89 points

Wow! I just added again and you are correct. WITHOUT the collection; you can't get to 90 for Mondesi.

I assumed it was set up like last month's path; where you could get to 90 just by doing the Moments and Stat Missions.

    Is this an oversight? @SDS_Jax @Pat_SDS @Victor_SDS

I really want Mondesi so I did all the Moments yesterday including the Ramirez 3 XBH one, was about to start the missions, and then did the math and realized it was useless. I don’t have nearly enough guys for the collection. I should have added it up before I started, of course, but it surprised me as well.

False. If you've been saving the TN cards from Moments the whole time instead of selling them off, Ramirez will only cost 2,241 stubs (the exchange).

Exactly. By doing all the Topps Now moments and this POTM moments, you basically get all the cards for free. You deciding to take the stubs insteafd is your own decision. The card is almost free

I ended up getting Ramirez and made close to 300k in selling spare Topps. For people cashing out. What are you spending the stubs on?

No, they knew what they were doing. There's already a 99 J Ram card so SDS knew a lot of people wouldn't be too excited by his lightning card, but that people would want Mondesi so they put them both behind the collection. I, for one, would not have done the collection if I could have gotten Mondesi without it.

Been trying to decide what I want to do and have boiled it down to this:

I can sell all the Topps Now I have collected (one of each) and don’t finish the POTM. That would net me roughly 587k stubs.

I can lock them all in (I’m not stub poor, but there are plenty of market cards I’d like to buy). If I finish the POTM program, I’d get back about 113k stubs, Ramirez, Mondesi and Carrasco (plus they TN guys I’d be locking in.

    Can’t decide.

If you have/need upgrades then sell the cards and go shopping. JRam is solid but are other similar options. Carlos is straight Booty cheeks. Mondesi is the only gem. I have all the cards I want(even bought Ted Williams) so it was an easy decision for me. JRam in 10 games has 6 HR so I’m digging him
