Hype for the first few Ranked Seasons

I’m hoping to get back into BR and I pray it’s not just an RNG fest. I don’t think it will be — trying to be optimistic about Allstar. I loved BR in 16 and 17
If it plays good I think I will also knock out a lot of BR to get as many awards as I can and hopefully a flawless.

Ill be playing BR pretty much until I finish collections as well. It allows for market flipping due to quick games and at 9 wins you get a LS 85-89 diamond.
The diamond at 9 wins really has flown under the radar. I’ve seen several posts expecting the live series to be expensive right out of the gate, but with golds at 6 wins and 85-89 diamonds at 9 wins, after a month I dont see any live series golds being over quicksell price or any 85-89 diamonds over 30k. Trout, Mookie, Arenado, Bellinger, Degrom, and Scherzer will be expensive but they were going to be anyway

Yup, that is exactly how I feel! Gold LS will not hold much value after a month, which is rare since in previous years I remember Gold Belli going for like 25K. Gallo same thing.

A live series will still have value cause once they are locked in your can not even QS. only a small percentage of players can accomplished 6-9 wins in BR, We shall see

What makes people think since the cards can’t be quicksold, they will drastically increase in price. It won’t cost any more than if you kept your cards in previous years. It might take longer to accumulate the stubs to buy the cards, but George Springer, Charlie Morton, Walker Buehler etc. are going to be 5k whether you get your 5k stubs back or not. The difference is these team collections that have 4 golds and a low diamond(rays for example) are going to be 9-10k instead of Free

We shall see. I think people who want to finish the collection fast will overpay for Golds and Diamonds, i did the collections as fast as I could with out spending extra money. It was easy with the QS. I also did it to get Mays and Wagner. I guess it depends on who they hide behind the collection.

Preseason for me is grinding out the 1st conquest maps and getting to the 1st inning henchman pack. At that point the squad should be ready for online play by Wednesday of next week.

You do realize that in any game if they wanted to finish them quickly people always overpay for the Golds or Diamonds, this isn't anything new. Those low diamonds and golds will be I think less expensive earlier in the year due to BR having 6 win Gold and 9 win Diamond.

It could have the adverse effect; people having less stubs because of QS being out might stall the market

The thing is though, the 19 collection was by far the cheapest of any live series collection, with or without quickselling. And people had more stubs due to quickselling, causing inflation. There were also many more stub sales than ever before(there were only about 3-4 stubs sales each in 17 and 18) , and the live series was still cheap in comparison to 17 and 18. The live series always gets cheaper when they switch BR to 9 win diamonds. With them starting the year like that, the low diamonds will not be expensive

This is true. I agree. Eh whatever I already got my 500k in stubs. I’ll just flip and grind it out and have a lot of excess for specialty packs later.

So we’re basically in agreement but with a lot more words?

Yeah I guess. I just don’t necessarily think the market will be “stalled”. People might be more hesitant to use their stubs but the prices will remain pretty similar to last year
