    I know.

    Dead horse.

    Stick.

    Beat.

I was wondering though, given that we are now in October, and that we have a series of cards to be released in the coming weeks, why it would not be possible to open up SOME prestigeable cards from ONLINE to ONLINE/OFFLINE.

There are cards that should not be opened up to that, I agree, such as Mantle, Trout, etc, but the tier 3 TA cards should be opened up (hell, should have ALWAYS been open) to offline prestiging, as well as cards from earlier programs (within reason, such as maybe the first 5 innings, or 6).

There is no longer a ton of offline content to grind, and this could bring back some people to play offline games to earn cards. None of those cards that I would like to see prestigable offline are gamebreaking, and we've been given Topps Now cards that eclipse them totally and the upcoming TA cards will make 98% of them irrelevant.

So why ask? Like I said, content for offline players (I play some online, but mostly offline). None of those cards, prestiged, make my lineup, or that of 90%+ of people. The only card I used for a while was 98 Brock for the 99 Speed/99 Steal as a PR. So where does it hurt anyone. All it adds is value to the game, and maybe keeps more casual players playing a bit longer.

Full disclosure: I have a God Squad. I need no cards for my RS team. I have MVP Trout. I have Mantle. I have Gehrig. I've only prestiged one card, and that is Rivera. Near on Trout and Mantle, but that's it.

Agree. I play offline exclusively, so Prestige is a meaningless program for me right now.

I agree with this, I'm one star away from 300 stars in the 7th inning program, I would love it if I could just beat the CPU on All star for the John Lester win heck I'd even take HOF, I just don't know if I'll ever get it online. I'd love it if prestige could be for offline players as well.

Same here but I have lost hope that it will happen.

I guess it gives Online Players an incentive for suffering through online play.

They released an infinitely repeatable Conquest map just last week.

I understand the desire to open it up to offline players at this point, but it's unlikely to happen. I can't recall any instances of SDS making a change like that.

This reminds me of last year when we were first introduced to the timed inning programs. I thought at some point after the 11th inning was released they would grant the ability to select which program you wanted program stars to count towards. They could have changed it so that playing games within conquest for a specific inning actually counted towards that inning. It would have opened up content for players who never made it to 600+ stars in every inning, given offline players something to grind towards, and at that point the game was essentially over so it wouldn't have hurt anyone.
