I have redone my suggestions posted above in light of recent developments.

    1. If you're doing well with your current team then they shouldn't be arbitrarily trading you. That's the whole point of letting you pick your team. For the moment those victimized by this can push the trade frequency slider to the left and save your team frequently in Data Utilities.
    2. Return of the ball trails from 19, so you can actually distinguish the ball from the infield dirt when you're playing 3B.
    3. Similarly, tone down the light backdrop in some parks so you can see the pitches coming in during the day and early evening. It's like trying to bat with a spotlight in your face.
    4. Allow you to contact your agent when things get really crazy.
    5. Allow you the option of letting the AI manage your running when you get on base. Base running can be sometimes difficult and usually tedious, particularly with a bad hitting team. Don't turn down (or turn off) the team hitting when the human player gets on base.
    6. Add real accomplishments to Events & Awards, like 4 HRs in one game, Perfect Games and No-Hitters
    7. Get those guys who waggle their bats out of my pitching meter area!
    8. Leave the hitting info up longer once you leave the box, by the time you can look it's gone.
    9. I don't need to see the pitcher try to pick off the runner on first four consecutive times. Save the pick-offs for when the runner gets caught or there's a throwing error.
    10. Give me something for hitting between Veteran (too easy) and All-Star (too hard).
    11. A batting clutch failure should be -1, not -2. Dude, doing the job 1/3 of the time is way above par. It's why batting clutch doesn't rise as your career progresses, unlike other ratings. Pitching clutch works correctly.
    12. I'm tired of drilling an obvious double down the line, no threat of it being caught, and sliding into the feet of my teammate at second base. The base running has to be more aggressive then it is, no excuse for a runner to be there.

I would like to see the no doubt homerun animations get fixed. I'm still seeing the bat float. Also, I would like the option to choose no doubt homerun animations from certain player's stances without being locked into that stance. Lastly, I would like to see endorsement deals being offered. It would be nice to sign with a brand sometime after you get drafted.

My roommate and I share this, and I'm not even joking when I counted to Ten consecutive pick off attempts the pitcher made. It get crazy at a certain point. especially when you have to hold back on the stick to even have a chance of being safe.

Turn off the 20 day rainstorms that follow you. Other than that I love RTTS as is.

I’d like to see more instances with my player interacting with coaches, media, etc. make contract money useful instead of just a number for the rtts. Maybe implement the $350,000,000 contract money to be useable and then from there maybe be able to buy rtts only equipment, accessories, house Etc, and be able to personalize your player even more which could offer a wider variety of playability.

There’s a moment when your player gets asked to try another position and if you agree to try it, you can get coaching on that. You can then ask the coach about the infield, outfield and pitching and I believe catcher too? But it made me think that sds might have had a way to transition into a pitching role from being an outfielder or infielder at one time or another?
So if they made it an option to transition from pitcher to positional player and vice versa, then to me, it’d make rtts really shine.

    Some examples-
There’s tons of real life players who have either pitched in the major leagues or came up as a pitcher in college/minor leagues, before deciding to be a hitter. Babe Ruth, Mark McGwire, John Olerud, Rick Ankiel, Dave kingman, and even stan musial. There’s many more. @Collin_SDS

I would definitely like to see an option that allows RTTS players to spend their contract money on equipment or any other customizations to be allowed for the gamer. I’d also like to hear more audio from broadcasters. Especially when you’ve hit 3 home runs in a game it tends to have the same reaction every time. Just more variety of reactions from broadcasters.

    (RTTS)

Adding Optional Batting Practice. You could add this option in the same menu before you start each start to the series "Play Game" , "Simulate this game", "Simulate this , "Choose Uniform" and then followed with "Optional BP"

The other option is to add it to the beginning of each game before the intro. It will be interfaced similarly to how warming up with pitchers look. You get 5 or so baseballs to hit and can skip the BP optionally by clicking the ps4 touch pad if wanted.

If you succeed well in BP through mini games (optional idea) or regular BP then you can receive a power or contact boost for the game.

Side Note: If a ball is connected very well with and its undoubtedly a homerun , it should go further for the sake of entertainment,I wanna be able to hit the slide in Milwaukee or hit a dinger into San Frans glove.

-Just some ideas to think of!

    I play RTTS almost exclusively
Here's what I'd like to see: Get rid of the archtypes. They are initially too restricting, particularly if you play as a well rounded player. Archetypes may cap your starting OVR as low as 52. Additionally, if you select any Archetype that doesn't fit the pre determined mold for starting position, you are penalized. An example (player height & weight identical): Small Ball shortstop; 61 OVR, 2ND base; 60 OVR, 3rd base; 59 OVR. The game penalizes same build based on 25-35 foot positioning. Another change I'd like to see, let the user select both primary & secondary positions. Again, this is an archetype thing. Small Ball 3rd base & 2nd base are put in CF
(7 out of 7 different Toon's for me) If I wanted to play outfield, I'd have created an outfielder. Is the game really dictating that a small Ball type player that plays 3rd base is automatically not as good as either a SS or 2nd baseman? When game takes away your option of personal choice, why bother playing? Finally, an addition that would help a player develop their archetypes is have every conversation you have with press after getting POG honors (doesn't happen often on veteran & all star difficulty) give you the standard 4 choice answers to choose from. That last one is pretty much cosmetic, but still.

I have said a number of time that the old point system is much better than this archetype/cap nonsense. I have been playing RTTS since 2009 and this is my last year. It seems to me that SDS has intentionally ruined RTTS so people will go to DD (their cash cow). I refuse to fall into their money trap and don't need them to tell me what my player should be. They have also done this BS of trying to change your position. Like XynatosX said if I wanted an OF I would have created one so when I create a SS that is what I want. I have players from 2018 that I got through their career and some attributes never reached 99 because of the caps. They said in 2019 that the max caps on all attributes would be 99 but they will not give you cap increases. They keep adding stuff half done that becomes worthless. Social media which is a joke then the agent that you can't contact and this personality that if you play long enough you max out all personalities so what are you?

Tbh I like the current system.
16 was my first one, and I didn't know what to put my points in when I started so I dropped it.
then when the new system came in 18 I liked it a lot more. They should have both though.
Like A causal mode: For people that just want to play, and grow based of merit.
And An advanced mode for people that want to be really technical...

Big road to the show fan but I would like to say out of all of the big-name games like Madden, NBA 2K, NHL, or even WWE are ahead of Mlb the show when it comes to a career mode. It was to the point where I didn't buy The Show 20 because it is just seemed like the same game as 19 career mode wise. First of all my main suggestion is that your character and the people in the road to show talk, In the other games you are actually hearing people talk and it isn't just a conversation on the screen that you have to read. When you just hit a walk-off home run and get an interview after the game the people watching the game on tv will hear what you have to say not read it on the screen. I would also like to see a draft, in rtts you are supposed to play as a rising baseball phenom getting drafted as the first pick should be apart of the journey. The earliest you can get picked is in round 15, I would like to see a cutscene where you are in a suit and getting drafted at number 1 overall pick in the MLB draft. other than that rtts is good, I would just like to see more cutscenes and endorsements for your player. Instead of you using stubs to buy the equipment you could get an endorsement and get free or a discount on equipment. Stubs should just be used to buy players or stadiums for diamond dynasty. I hope these changes will happen in 21 looking forward to next-gen content.

If you have been playing RTTS for any length of time you would know that it used to be you got drafted in the first round but with the new system of archetypes and caps the whole idea is that you are a longshot and not expected to be a big time player. That is why yoiu don't get drafted until the 15th round or later.

Curious to know what your thoughts are.

It was in the show 16 but you were able to see career earnings. That’s something that I would like to see brought back

I want the stats sliders again. But mixed with the new way as well. I'd love to see more storyline and also a neighbourhood plus more customization like 2k.
