I'm sorry but Kenny Lofton looks absolutely ridiculous with the Chief on his helmet. At least put the 'C" on there for Cleveland. This politically correct world we live in is gonna be the end of us all one of these days.

I understand the PC thing about being offensive to the Native Americans and If you look at Bob Feller cards he did wear a C so they should have just photshopped the C on the helmet. I know it is easier to just cover it but the cards look not finished.
I am against the cancel culture. There are something that need change but taking away the Tomahawk chop or a brand just because they have differing political views . This is America where you have freedom of speech. It is because of that people can protest what ever they want. People need to stop being just pansies and not be offended by every little thing or we will eventually all be dressing in grey

I think the person I can't stand the most in baseball is Rob Manfred. Was A-Rod but Manfred is making mountains out of mole hills. I can understand the Indians name being offensive and definitely see Chief Wahoo as such but the Braves and the tomahawk chop come on. He wants the Braves to not promote the Tomahawk chop something that started with the Florida Seminoles and the Seminole tribe signed off that it was ok so leave that alone. And the braves that is more a a Proud thing it isn't like it is the Atlanta blackfaces

SDS, MLB, and the Cleveland Indians removing the chief from a hat IS freedom of speech. Just because you don’t like their decision does not mean it was forced on them by the government.
It’s also worth noting that the only people that seem to be offended on this thread are the people that agree with you.

It is freedom of speech and I am not saying I have a problem with them taking Chief Wahoo out but just do a little extra simple work and throw the C on the hat so it doesn't look like a rushed and unfinished job on a major sports title, it isn't that hard to do in photoshop I have done that type of stuff hundreds of times with my skateboard graphics

I was making it so people didn't have to find the part. I totally agree that the chief wahoo and redskins name is offensive but when a Native American tribe signs off on it then I feel like it is fine. Also the part you talk about reinforces what I said. Yes there is Drum banging but it is a rhythmic type like it would be for native american style ceremonies. It also is used to keep the pace of the chant.

Others do not seem to be making this distinction and you’re only citing evidence of things not being offensive, not the other way around, even when it’s all over the article you cited. That is selective reasoning.
