As a Cardinals fan that watches almost every game they play, I sure didn’t see Voit turning into this kind of hitter. He looked like a guy that was born to be a DH. Idk how anyone could’ve predicted what he would become. Dam!

I don't think the Yankees did either. They preferred Greg Bird at 1B because it added some balance with his lefty bat, but his constant injuries gave Voit a chance to shine and prove he belongs. Which he most certainly did.

To be fair, most of his homerun are huge bomb, it is not that much a factor for him.

Everytime i think of Greg Bird I think of that stupid "ill ha e another 1000 at bats to figure it out" line he gave some reporter. That basically ended his run as a Yankee.

Man, being a cards fan hurts right now, Lance Lynn, Luke Voit, Tommy Pham Marcell Ozuna, Randall Grichik. Call me crazy but that’s why we don’t trade as much the past two years, look at the talent we’ve lost that we could have still had if we wouldn’t have traded or not signed in the offseason.

If you want do-overs on any of your trades, I think I speak for all D-backs fans when I say we would gladly return Carson Kelly, Luke Weaver, and Andy Young for Goldy.

You say you didn’t see him turning into this kind of hitter coming, then say he looked like he was born to be a designated hitter. So maybe you did see it coming?

Cardinal's scouting department needs guys who can find and keep talent on the field. So many swing and misses with position players. They're actually pretty good and drafting and developing pitchers.

If you look at the guys we've traded away or not signed in favor of the players we elected to keep... it's mind-blowing.
