Looking for Cards with Hitting AND Speed
-
Need recommendations for cards that have good hitting stats as well as good speed. My team's total speed is 56, and clearly needs a boost.
I do have Andrew McCutchen on my bench, and his speed and hitting are great, but sometimes he makes really stupid baserunning decisions.
I'm working to get Ty Cobb from the 8th Inning Program, but who else should I consider adding to my lineup for speed, while also getting some good bats as well?
-
Jacoby Ellsbury has a very quick swing and his power really plays up. He's got 96 steal and speed so he usually gets good jumps and if you can prestige him he's very hard to catch. He's been my favorite leadoff hitter since his release.
-
Lou Brock.
-
The new 99 Trea Turner, Lou Brock, POTM Tatis
-
Yeah that Topps Trea Turner looks fantastic. His live series version played really well for me in the first couple of months of the game.
-
Trout, Micky, Jackie, Sandburg, Davis, Bo, Bigio
-
Cobb mantle Brock or trout outfield cap tatis beli biggio Rollins infield
-
Off the top of my head:
FotF Gwynn. 99 Jackie Robinson. Kenny Loftons Sig card gets base-hits for days. Sig Rod Carew. FotF Lou Brock. 99 Mantle, if you've done the LS collection. FotF Eric Davis. FS Louis Robert. -
Other good choices that have not been mentioned would be
Jimmy Rollins
Trea Turner (Tops Now)
Luis Robert (Future Stars)
Jo Adell (Future Stars)
Royce Lewis (Future Stars)
Kenny Lofton (Signature)
Eric Davis (FOTF)
Rod Carew (Signature) -
I also just recently got Christian Pache's Future stars card and I'm loving it.
O and how could i forget Trevor Story's Silver slugger award card he rakes and has 90+ speed.

Haha oops, at least i remembered him eventually.

Cobb, Walker, Robinson, Story, Tatis, Biggio, Mantle, Trout, Brock, Ellsbury, Turner, lots of good cards to choose from.
-
Jazz Chisholm and Vidal Brujan are also nice options.

Those were the hardest guys to take out of my lineup. Brujan still sits on the bench as a pinch running option.

This thread just makes me want to go build and play a speedy, high contact, base hitting machine team.
-
Luis Robert 99 overall future star, Ty Cobb 99 overall prime, and Rickey Henderson 99 overall awards....if you haven’t made your CAP, make one and go contact focus as you get 99 speed and 99 stealing
-
When you say hitting, are you looking for power or cards that just hit well in general? I'll break it down by position I guess. I value speed and think anything above 70 is usually fast enough.
C - Your only options thus far are Biggio (secondary) and Pudge. Everyone else is sub 50 speed (unless you have a CAP). Speed usually isn't the main attribute people want at C.
1st - POTM Bellinger and Jackie Robinson (secondary) Although Babe has 60 speed, which isn't too bad and well above avg for 1st base.
2nd. Jackie, POTM Didi (secondary), Biggio
3rd. Sheffield (secondary) has 71 and a big bat. Trea Turner might be able to play 3rd. I can't remember.
SS - Tatis. /discussion
The outfield is pretty stacked, but Mantle, Trout, Gwynn, Eric Davis, Larry Walker, Jacoby, Lou Brock and Ty Cobb are all popular picks.

Basically, you want to play the current event.

For SS, Jimmy Rollins is not to be ignored. Less power than Tatis, but switch hitter. Hard for me to decide which. Playing em both to see who I prefer.
