Team Affinity Stage 4 thoughts?

Everyone keeps saying they think TA Stage 4 will be finest.....but seems to me that the final stage cards will all be super high level 98-99 cards, and generally, Finest is usually released as packs and would seem like SDS would be missing a chance too sell stuff by making TA4 Finest. What if TA4 is not Finest, and is a mix of Awards, SS and Future Stars from each franchise, and looked something like this....(trying to use players/cards already in the game....but not the super cards like Chipper, Albert, Griffey, Gehrig, Morgan, etc, who are likely still bosses or WS Rewards)...just speculating here......

I dunno. They have grouped each TA release thematically. I would be surprised to see TA4 be a catch-all with prime, awards, FS, legends, flashbacks, etc. I think it’ll probably be all one thing. Finest seems pretty logical to me.
-
Pirates - what about Roberto Clemente? Has SDS done that in the past? This is my first year in DD, so I have no idea.
-
That's a good thought and effort thinking through all those cards, so good work. I do agree though that I think there'll be some type of theme for it. Timing wise, playoffs will be right around the corner or just starting. I could see them doing the best PS card for each team. It could introduce a lot of new cards that have never been in the game. Not new players, just different versions of cards we've not seen. I say that, but doubt they'd do it either. I originally thought it would be the low end finest card for each team like they did last year, but if they do that it'd have to be after the season is over. Plus I wouldn't see giving 98-99 to everyone and then releasing more 99 Finest cards and if they didn't give 98-99's it'd be a step back from stage 3. This would be the biggest reason I could see it being a random mess of cards.
-
I feel like people would be mad if their team got a FS while other teams got franchise-type players such as Mookie betts. Whatever the stage 4 is going to be, I feel pretty confident saying it will be relatively the same type of card, not a mixture of FS, current players, and legends.
-
Typically, late June early July is when they stop debuting new Legends. Every once in a while you'll get a "this is the last new legend for this year" notice but not always.
Clemente's a pretty big get and I'd expect he'd be one they'd want to debut as part of a pre-launch marketing push, not just a random "Hey, here's another guy!" (Michael Young last year, Dennis Martinez this year being prime examples)
-
What would be VERY interesting, is IF they made it a Finest Card from previous seasons (like they did with the Monthly Awards this year). We already have Jose Ramirez from last year.....this way they could do a finest theme, and also current year finest separate....
-
I feel like it’s going to be current players with juiced cards. Players unlikely to get a Finest, like Javy Baez.

He’s had a bad year.

I agree, that with HL packs coming to a close today, you would think Finest would be the next wave of packs here in a few weeks. It makes sense that they will need to continue marketing new packs moving into Fall.
I also agree that since TA 1=3 have all been sets, that stage 4 would be as well, and Finest make the most sense in that aspect, however many would be inferior to TA 3 cards.
If SDS wants to blow everyone's hair back, then they release the best of various sets for that team as mentioned, there's still enough available cards to do so and peppering in some FS series cards with teams who have weak MLB players and strong farm, would be a good idea. I hope SDS blows us away. -
One other thing to keep in mind, is that there are still PLENTY of top prospects without Future Stars Cards......If they stick to a theme, and great 97-99 Cards for TA4, this could be a possibility too......

I don’t think they own the rights for Clemente, unfortunately. Would love to see him in the game.
-
It should be a Prime/Sig/Awards of a current player. Finest will come later, Rockies should get a Daniel Bard or Kyle Freeland.
-
I think a Prime Wade Davis Royals card would be awesome.

Even in his prime, Hosmer wasn't a 98-99. I originally thought 4th was going to be Brett. Since Brett was 3, I am going with a 96-99 Bobby Witt Jr. I think 4th will be future fotf.

Do you think that they tier it like stage 1? Have those FS cards from one of the lists above about halfway, and then the final TA award at the end? That would be amazing and get a lot of cards into the game.

Some one mentioned Post Season Cards. What if they had a Post Season Hero Theme for 98-99 Cards. Could look something like this??? I could not figure out a White Sox player though.....

Honestly make them awards cards... Plenty of legends and current players who could be on every team.
