Brand and type? Thanks! $250 and under would be great
I got a
ASUS VG275Q 27 inch Full HD 1080p 1ms Dual HDMI Eye Care Console Gaming Monitor with FreeSync/Adaptive Sync, Black
$199.99 on amazonhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071KHHDNK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I saw this one! I liked it a lot from the first view, glad to see you like it as well! What stands out the most about it to you?
It had all of the "stats" I was looking for.
At 27 inches All games look amazing, movies as well.ZERO issues after almost 18 months of heavy usage.

A couple of months ago I finally decided to give in and buy a monitor also. I was reluctant to get one because I didn't want to go down so much in screen size from my 60 inch TV, but man it does make a difference. I wondered how much of a difference it really makes for a long time after reading post after post in here about monitors. Trust me, once you get one you will notice what a difference it makes. The one I got is an Asus VG278Q 27 inch, 1ms, and 144hz. I looked around and the cheapest place for it was newegg.com. When I got it, it was on sale for just over $200 if I remember correctly. If you're looking at $250 or under though I think it fell under that even at regular price. I have no complaints about it though and I would definitely recommend it.

I have a nice tv as well but I’ve heard a monitor is better. Thanks for the suggestions!

I play on a BenQ 24 in monitor. Model GL2480. It is $120 on Amazon. I’ve had it for a few months and I do see a difference. I might upgrade the monitor later, but my monitor was definitely money well spent.

It's the best deal on the market!

I have the 24" version and I'm happy with it. I bought it originally for COD.

I've been using the BenQ Zowie RL2755 for years. It's one of the best options for current gen, but I'm gonna upgrade when the PS5 drops.

I'm no monitor expert, but if you want a good TV, look no further than Samsung. The majority of TVs I have owned have been Samsungs, and they've worked great. My newest TV and the one I play on is a Samsung smart TV, and it's worked really well.
What not to buy? DO NOT buy an LG smart tv. They have all kinds of issues... some family of mine owns one and the audio keeps cutting out and the wifi connection is not ideal.

Yeah, I already have a nice TV but isn’t right for the show. Thanks for the suggestions though

No prob. Hope you find the monitor that works best for you.

At this stage I think I’d look to the future with the release of the ps5. Maybe save for a monitor that will accommodate what features work best for next gen.

BenQ EL2870U 28in. Got it for $299, normally it's $500. Thing is a beast. It has 4K Resolution 60Hz, 1ms response time, 2x HDMI DisplayPort AMD FreeSync Tech. I use this for my job as well when I do design work.
The other BenQ mentioned is nice too, but I wanted a larger screen - you can't go wrong with either.

How does a monitor make a difference? Does it negate the errors that randomly happen in the game? Does it remove the pitches you throw perfectly on the outside corner that end up right down the middle for an opponent HR? Does it really allow you to catch up with any pitch that the AI has decided to call a swing-through? I mean, does a monitor, TRUTHFULLY, make any difference in the otherwise inconsistent and obvious code dictated outcomes of this game?
Because there will be people reading this posts that will believe this is true and spend money, perhaps they don't really have to blow, on devices that likely won't make any difference in this game...just because folks are saying it will.
I don't disagree in theory a gaming monitor should make a gaming experience a bit faster, but does it really change anything in MLB the Show? Call me skeptical.

What you're asking is a rhetorical question. With all the complaining you do with this game, it appears a break is needed for you. Your posts are borderline exhausting to read.
People can spend their money the way they want.

You also have to remind yourself that the monitor is an investment, for future gaming if you get A PS5 etc.
I have a MSI 32' monitor and noticed a difference right a way. -
