Schwarber Catcher
-
Will any of Kyle Schwarber’s back up positions be catcher this year?
-
He did play one inning as catcher in 2019, so I think, by technicality, he should have catcher eligibility on his card.

I was wondering this myself a couple of days ago. I was leaning towards no, but I forgot about his lone appearance as a catcher last year. And also, another user made a good point about Mookie still have 2B as a secondary position. He better lose that if Schwarbs does. I love Schwarber, but if defense is as real as it looks this year, it may not be a good idea to use him there. I guess we’ll see.

He’d still likely be useful for an event or two at some point.

I assume its 3 year average deal. If they played the position in the last 3 years.

His flashbacks may still have the eligibility though.
