I've been trying to complete some of the moments that reward you with SS players and its taking longer than I thought it would take.
The rate I'm going, I doubt I'll get enough done to squeeze in 15 wins by Monday afternoon.
Now, I can still get Bautista and Nenn, just by playing the next Event. But I wanted Mathews.
Is it worth it to buy a few of the lower cost SS players, just to play this Event? Knowing that anyone I buy, can be had later on down the road for a lower cost, or even as a Henchmen reward; I just dont know if I should attempt this Event? Considering, my BP would be nothing but Bronze and Commons.

If you want Mathews, you need to complete at least 2/3 of the extra innings events. If you didn´t the previous event, you need to complete this and the next one, in order to get Mathews.
If you have a decent amount of stubs, you can purchase the cheapest SS cards, and rush these couple of days to get the 15 wins.

Invest in some SS cards under 15k each to put a better team out & compete with the others teams & giving you at least a better chance to win games in events. If you out to collect cards, then this helps you towards the SS collection reward. But if you only seeking cards you will only be using & don't care about collecting. Then those SS cards you bought under 15k just for the event, you can always sell back & at least re coop 75% of what you spent to buy them if they have dropped in market price afterwards.

I have about 60K. I don't think I have enough to field a competitive team; thus why I was trying to get the free SS cards from Moments. But that's not working out, as I have yet to finish Ichiro and that leaves me 6-7 more sets left.
I may just have to deal with just playing the next one and be satisfied with Nenn and Bautista.

It's worth the investment man, you can get enough to field a DECENT team, and most of them, you'd likely make a profit back on. do some Topps now moments for some more stubs if you need. Plus, if you don't like Eddie, more stubs in the bank to grind if you grind.

Oh, and whatever you end up doing, finish the ichiro moments. Most feared card in the game.

Looks like im not getting Matthews. Which is fine. I was planning on selling him later.
I've only completed the Ichiro and Marichal moments, so those are the only SS Diamonds I have. Still need to complete the ones for Billy Williams, Colon, and Wainwright; plus buy whatever other cards I need to field a competitive lineup.
Then I have to get at least 15 games in by 3pm EST tomorrow, which would be tough considering I have to go in for PT tomorrow around 12noon EST, and probably won't be back until 2pm EST.
Not making excuses, as I started late. Just saying that is rather buy Finest Arenado and play him at 3rd inatead of buying 8-10 SS cards, only to come up a few games shy.
