If you havent heard Madden users are fed up. I guess the people on here were correct and its official. Madden doesnt hold a candle to the show

I mean, this is baseball and that is football. I dont think one goes to the other or back to the other. It all depends in what you want to play.

I don't think people will be coming back because of gaming issues on Madden. If your into football, you won't leave the game. Same goes for The Show players. Like myself, I haven't bought Madden in 4 years.

I'm into Hockey. Like a lot. Every year I'd pre-order the Ultimate Edition of NHL, but NHL has been god awful the last few years and EA in general is getting worse (if that's possible)
NHL used to be really the only game I played, and once every few years I'd pick up a different sports title just to freshen it up and see what improvements were made since last time. When The Show 19 was free last September I got it and instantly put down NHL - which was only a couple weeks old at the time. Haven't looked back. This game is 100000000% better.
I still watch hockey, but I won't touch the EA NHL series again for a long LONG time.

All of these companies produce shitty games. It’s been going downhill for years. Madden 15 is the last decent football game released imo. 2k is bad as well. They all are. But EA is the worst

It’s been like 10 years since anyone else made any sports game. Everyone complains. I like all of them and don’t feel like any have improved recently like they used too. Sad truth but years from now people will feel the same as people that have played them as long as people like me.
From 2000-2010 sports games took MASSIVE leaps forward.
From 2010-2020 and an entirely new console sports games almost didn’t change at all.

In terms of graphics and gameplay, sports games did not change much in the 2010's period no, but the way people played them online (Introduction of ultimate teams) did massively evolve during that period

I’m a sports game junkie. Even usually buy 2k and spend too much time in MyTeam. With that being said, I haven’t played Madden since 2017.
Zero desire to touch it. And this is coming from a guy who played Madden since the 90s.
Madden is complete trash. Going that route with 2k now too. While 2k is a pretty good game, their MyTeam setup is criminal.
The reason I stand behind SDS is they are the only ones that still try to do right and it’s not all about the money.
The Show is also a lot better than some of the posts on here make it out to be. If you practice you will get better.

And I haven't played Madden since 2016. If you mean trash..in that it's not a simulation but an RNG (or whatever term you want to hang on a game that is decided by code..not skill) I would agree with you.
But this game is no different. It's not a skills-based simulation. Neither is FIFA.
The other point I would agree with you on is, of the 3, The Show is much less prone to soliciting additional revenues through "loot boxes". I will give SDS that much.
Maybe it's because the online gameplay is just so over-the-top RNG their conscience keep them a little more grounded and ethical in that department.

Madden has been out a long time. I started playing back in the early 90’s
I was referring to this years game. I use to play madden non stop back in the late 90’s. Barry Sanders was the man! Vick was untouchable. When it was fun and not all these “new engines” put into it.

I have spent the last 5 or so years playing Madden Ultimate Team. This year I decided to try out MLB The Show 20. I can't believe I waited is long to start playing this game. The content is outstanding also it is not hidden behind a pay to play pay wall. I always steered clear of online play with Madden because I felt that the Match Making System never did a very good job. I never had a chance to compete online. MLB's Match Making and Tier system for Ranked Seasons is not perfect, but it is a major upgrade of what EA is doing with Madden. I can get in an online game and feel like I have a chance to compete.

I completely agree with you on 2k. They easily have the best career mode and franchise of the main sports games but myteam is so horrendously bad it’s comical

Yea I played MUT for the first time last year and spent every waking minute playing that game. Then 4 months went by with no content so I pick up THE SHOW and canceled my madden pre order. Nothings perfect but the Show is leaps ahead of Madden for ultimate team. Obviously two different sports but the team building aspect so much better

SDS treats the fans better than any sports gaming company. There’s no debate. Are they perfect? Far from it. Way better than EA and it’s no contest.

That's like saying John Gacy is better than Jeff Dahmer...because Gacy only killed his victims he didn't eat them too.
I disagree, solely because you can’t win a tournament running one play with a left handed punter at qb. I’m not gonna sit here and tell you there not on some bs at all, cause they definitely can be. Compared to EA though, it’s not close at all. EA has been that Midpack since MUT. SDS has only one definitive poo stain and that’s 18.
