Signature Series Chris Sale

So my son and his older son play in the same age bracket on different travel ball teams. He is super low key and genuinely nice. So every year when I get his card it messes with me because I think if I see him and I pitch poorly with his card, I will want to apologize. It would probably go like, "Hey Chris, so I was in an All Star level game and I tried to go high fastball, low slider, but I mysteriously hung the slider and it got blasted out of Shippet Stadium, next thing you know DJ Air Horn sounds three times and I lose". Given now nice he is, I am guessing he would tell me that I will simply, "gittem next time slugger".
Not sure that story helps you value the card but if you buy him and suck, he would not be insulted.

I thought he wasn’t going to be worth the price tag due to lack of a 5th pitch and his attributes.
I’m like 34-5 with a 1.40 ERA with him. Feller is like a 2.30 ERA and the rest of my pitchers are above 3-4 ERA (and much higher). . So Sale has been way more dominant than any other pitcher I’ve used all year.
How does Feller and Sale compare to Walter and Nolan?

Feller has more pitches. He’s been great. Walter Johnson is the only accurate flame thrower in the game, he’s been surprisingly good. Nolan Ryan is not usable for me. Zero control. Only way to win with him is against someone who can’t hit fastballs.

Sale is great, but he's great because of the lack of viable lefty SP not named Hal.
Hal is so dry and over exposed, that Sale can be refreshing to use.
We need other alternatives that are obtainable, but not vanilla.
Paxton isn't it. Glavine is too scarce. Leiter is good but we need our Guidry or even Spahn.
Lester is aweful. Fake Series cards like McKay are meh. Lodolo was effective but variety is still lacking IMHO.

How does Sale fare compared to the 98 Jesus card? Jesus has a sinker

He's very recent. I haven't tried him yet, and only faced him once. Probably a great card and more viable than Sale if you need a lefty. I didn't list every lefty. Hamels is there too.
I'm a Sale owner. I use him well, but I feel so much LESS confident pitching with him this year than in the past.
Closest comparison to Sale right now might be Lefty.
I find with Sale, you need to use both fastballs on both sides of the plate.

I used Mad [censored] end to end all year until September and then went back to him in December.
I just placed a buy order now. No thanks to event play for me. Not a fan of the 3 Inning game concept.
