Never said I didn't think story was good. Just not all around better.

Speed
Lindor runs at 27.1 ft per second. Ranked 150th
Story runs at 28.8 ft per second. Ranked 22ndNo question Trevor is faster.
I'm actually eating right now so research is gonna have to wait lol
-
Trevor Story has been underrated for awhile. I do think Story > Lindor.

I didn't dispute that.
Talking overall. -
Also, how are Story's strikeouts ridiculous? a 19.4% strikeout rate is pretty good, especially combined with an 11.4% walk rate.
Lindor has a 19.7% strikeout rate btw, so I gues Lindor's strikeouts are even more ridiculous? (5.4% Walk rate)
Last two seasons > Lindor 5.1 WAR
Story > 7.4 WAR
-
Keep in mind these are all 2019. Trevor has had a superior 2020 to Lindor this far so I don't feel the need to toss that into here.
Avg
Story
.294, .328H, .260A, .314L, .286RLindor
.284, .289H, .280A, .258L, .298RCoors splits will always exist, take what you want from it, Trevor is the better hitter.
Defensively purely based on DRS and fangraphs "DEF".
Trevor Story, 14 (3rd among SS). Fangraphs DEF rating 15.1
Francisco Lindor, 11 (6th among SS). Fangraphs DEF rating 12.6Worth noting Paul DeLong tied DRS with Baez at 26 led in DEF with an 18.5.
Trevor also had a better fielding % with a .987 compared to Lindor's .979.

Looking for all these stats is a pain in the [censored]. Lol thanks for that hookup.

So yeah OP. Big market Trevor Story is getting appropriately valued.
-
So based on the values posted above.
Fielding - Story > Lindor
Speed - Story > Lindor
Avg - Story > Lindor (bUt MuH cOoRs)
Strikeout/walk % - Story > LindorI'll keep digging but I need my computer because doing this on my phone is just irritating.
Also worth noting, Trevor has made 2 AS games and earned 1 SS.
-
Didnt know storys stat lines were this impressive honestly. Thanks for sharing

Its all coors for story. Have him come play in cold weather a third of the season.
I agree story is faster. Not a better defender and strike out to walk % is just hilarious
Story strikesout in almost 1/3rd of his plate appearances -
Did you not see where Eatyum said Lindor has a higher K%? And I just gave you the points that show Trevor IS a better defender lol. Just blatantly ignoring facts now bro. 2019 Trevor was a better 5 tool player than Lindor.
-
This season
Trevor Story has a 139 wRC+ at Coors field
He has a 154 wRC+ on the road
The BuT cOoRs argument is silly and very antiquated.
-
It's sad that a 19% strike out rate has somehow become acceptable.
Just thinking out loud.

Eh, I mean, that's the game today, even Trout struck out at a 20% clip last year. It's def something that a team can easily live with if the player produces.
Like Cavan Biggio, he cut his strikeout rate by almost 10% this year to 19.7%, but that comes with a 14.8% walk rate in addition to a .270ish average, all added up, that's solid numbers.

Its the evolution of the game. Pitchers throw sk much harder now and many hitters focus more on launch angle with big upward swings. HRs and Ks are the name of the game.

Story has struck out 700 times in 2200 career abs so i doubt trevor has a lower k rate the Lindor. Just ignoring facts bro.
