Pick Off

So I'm sure this is a stupid question, but when I'm on the mound and I want to throw to first what do I do? The instructions say L2 + 0, but all that does is give me the option for an intentional walk.

I believe it's L2 and the button of the base you are throwing to

You have to select your pitch first. then L2 + O. If throwing to first.

FYI-you might pick them off if they take that little extra lead.If you throw over when they have not taken an extra lead they will get back to the bag standing up.On the other hand if they are fast enough they can steal without the extra lead.

I liked the old pickoff animation where your pitcher would turn his head when you held L2. Why did they get rid of that? That was awesome.
