MLB 20 throwing meter concern
-
So in MLB 20 you only get one chance at the throw meter when throwing to each base right? So what about when a running is attempting a steal and you preload to throw to 2nd/3rd and the ball is put in play? Since you can’t see the throwing meter for the catcher in the preload this often ends in the initial throwing meter for fielders being in the red. In years past you could always re-do the meter and get a green throw, but, I’m worried this year that we might be stuck with the red preloaded catcher throw and end up not being able to throw from OF to 2nd/3rd without committing an error

From what I gathered, you have control of each throw you make to a specific base. Using your catcher example where the ball is put in play, I would assume the batted ball would "cancel out" your catcher throw because you would not be able to complete said pre-loaded throw. The meter would then reset to whichever player you are controlling and allow you load a throw to a base you then choose. I could be wrong, but that would make sense to me. Guess we'll find out at launch.

I hope that is the case I was just basing it on what I see on the current MLB 19 engine where the preloaded throws carry over from player to player
