Topps Now collection and price

Are we going to be getting more Topps Now cards released later this week? I thought I saw that somewhere but am not exactly sure. If we are getting more, are they going to release 3 cards so we have 24 total and are able to complete the collection for the lightning player? Also, this might be obvious but would you all expect the prices of the Topps Now cards to go way up once they announce who the lightning collection is for?

Who knows, but i'd expect them to release 5 more cards at least, with 2-3 being available in a free pack. Hopefully it's 3, so we wont have to spend any more stubs.......but yes, I think you can expect to see Topps now cards SKYROCKET for a short time in price IF the award is the 99 Tatis as many expect, especially as people lock them in. At least until all of the investors start to dump the extra's they've been buying up......

TN prices for the packs that wind up on the Conquest board about to PLUMMET.

So you think that the topps now prices are about to go way down? I don't have the best understanding yet of how all this works but I would think, even if they have hidden topps now packs considering the collection all these prices would go up. Or are you thinking that just the cards available in the packs are about to plummet?

According to the collections on the PS4 you need 24 topps now cards or POTM cards in order to get the lightning card. As far as I know it can be any combination of the two as long as you collect 24. There are currently only 21 topps now cards available but my hope is that it goes up to 24 with more being released this week since I don't have any POTM cards.

haha.....that makes sense I suppose that the cards in the packs would go down. I've been buying up a few topps now cards every day in anticipation of this collection, under the assumption that they will shoot way up once they announce the lightning player. My hope is that it's Tatis Jr. but if it isn't, and I don't feel whoever it is is worth the collection, I figure I could sell them back and make a profit so I was hoping you weren't thinking ALL the topps now cards are about to plummet....haha.

I really only play RS so I would prefer just to be able to buy whatever is needed from the market.

Sorry for the confusion. I am talking about all the ones from previous years that are in this years game. You know the ones that they used for April, May, June and July since we didn't have a real season at that point yet. I have a feeling those wont be eligible for this. I think they will probably release August POTM packs in the shop and if they do that then those will definitely be on the market.

Oh gotcha, yeah that makes sense. Not sure if those will be eligible for this or not. Would be nice if we had a little more clarity other than to collect 24 topps now or POTM cards in order to get the lightning card like it says. Unless in fact, it is that simple which I'm hoping then I can just scoop up all the topps now cards and get it done. Some August POTM packs could be possible too, I didn't think about that. They would be available on the market too so that would be nice.

The schedule says topps now on the 28th so I assume that means another round of them will drop, bringing the total above 24.

I unequivocally disagree. Your assertion of Topps Now packs being available later on goes against what Topps Now cards represent. If you know about Topps Now cards through Topps.com, they are only available for a limited time. After that time has expired, they are no longer available. It would make absolutely no sense to include Topps Now packs in the conquest maps at a later date because it goes against the nature of Topps Now; Topps Now is supposed to be limited and only available for 24 hours (citation: https://www.topps.com/toppsnow). Topps does not make them available at a later date, and they would likely not agree to have them included in a later Conquest map.
I think the current Topps Now cards will skyrocket when the collection of the new lighting card gets released and it is a monster Tatis card with 125 power. In fact, most people don't even know yet that you need the Topps Now collection to get it (Go to Collections, then Monthly; you will see the requirements there).
That is why I posed a question the other day who was the card that no one was likely to chose out of the pack. I wanted to see who was likely to be the rarest and most sought after on the aftermarket.

I already collected them all, I forgot how many I earned and got off the map. If you bought none, how many would you have now if you earned them every way you could?
The question is would SDS make everyone have to buy at least one or 2 TN cards to complete the collection or would they put out enough that can be earned by play. If you'll need to buy 1 yeah, the prices will go up as every single player in the game will have to purchase what they don't have. also there's still those guys who don't do maps or want to grind moments.
