What’s the deal?

I completed the mission for Fernando Tatis Jr. here while back. I was using him at short as the upgraded team affinity card but now it’s not even in my inventory.
Did the game take my card away or what’s the deal? -
His updated 99 card was only usable for 48 hours

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard! Why would they do that? Just another decision made that makes completely no sense whatsoever.

It was done sorta as a joke. Tatis got a talking to for swinging at a 3-0 pitch and hitting a HR, because it was an "unwritten rule". SDS said they were doing an "unwritten rule" and bumping his FOTF card up to a 99 but only for 48 hours. It even stated on the card itself. This should be no surprise to anyone.

He's not 99 anymore, but he should still have the card. It's not even sell-able or exchangeable.
