I pulled 97 Chapman. Got rocked. Sold em. Put back in 85 Chapman and still cruising with a 2.50 era. Ill get him again someday, but the stubs are needed now since I don't have Mickey yet

I strictly play RS and use analog pitching.

My current stats with 85 Aroldis Chapman: 134.0 IP, 11W-4L, 241 SO, 16 SV, 53 HLD, 0.94 ERA.

I can't see myself ever spending 6-digit stubs on 97 SS Chapman with the stats the 85 Chapman is giving me.

For those of you who bought 97 SS Chapman, have you even tried using 85 Chapman and things didn't work out for whatever reason? Just trying to understand justification and the value of spending 203,899 Stubs vs. 6,000 stubs buy now price.

buddy i am rocking a sub 0.50 ERA with LS Chapman in over 50 IP in online, and i get you completely - he is not leaving my bench until he starts to royally FK up

i am also taking screenshots of his ONLINE stats because its just unbelievable how long ive had this run with him

How do you guys control Chapman? The 85? I would get rocked online and off, everything would float down the middle

For me, I always aim for corner strikes, but you're right, more times than I want, it'll go right down the middle (I feel like this has been a problem no matter which pitcher you use, just some more than others I suppose). And I just consider myself lucky if the batter doesn't go yard on me when this happens.

But I use his slider more than his fastball, especially against those who I recognize are good fastball hitters. I'll aim low and outside with his slider against lefties, and same against righties coming in low and in on the hands, and mix in the fastball when I think I can keep the batter off balance. The speed differential between those 2 pitches is what makes him so challenging to hit against.

I can tee off on 85 Aroldis and can barely touch 97 Aroldis. That’s all I know.

There is no question that the 85 is more bang for your buck and if you do let it go down the middle your opponent will be late on it because he throws 102

Hah I did this when I was hitting around .800 with Hanley for 10+ games. He had a 2.500+ ops for the longest time.

What is the take by everybody now? I have the stubs for SS Chapman, as I sold my 7th inning boss. Or is the LS usable? I have used both, seems like SS Chapman has better control.

I wanted to try out a new SP, but I need a lefty for my pen, a good one. Wagner is sadly not an option.

Thanks. I just put an order in on SS Chapman, will be nice to have a shutdown lefty.

My view is if you have the stubs I would upgrade. From my experience, especially in the higher levels he is much more effective due to the better control and the changeup. Experience hitting against both is that it is much easier to hit against LS, just because you can sit on the fast ball much easier.

I'm in the same boat. Do very well with the 85 (which is always getting a +10 on IE for h/9 and k/9). Stick with what works.. The price difference I dont think is worth it in my opinion.

Oddly, 85 Chapman had no control for me whatsoever. 97 Chapman has been lights out for me. I did pull him in the pack though, and didn't spend the stubs.

Sig chap has way better control on his fastballs that's the biggest difference. It helps set up his other pitches
