I always accept the FQ before first pitch...I always figure there;s a good reason behind it. I never think it's because someone is scared. I think people really are on their high horse most times.

I always accept before the first pitch too. I rarely send them, but there's always a good reason when I do (don't feel like playing in an MLB stadium, don't feel like pitching with Kershaw for 13th game in a row, etc.)

I don't think it should be a "before the first pitch you can quit without taking the loss".
It would be easily exploited. People could stack their lineups with lefties, see their facing Kershaw and then leave because they don't like the matchup.

I kinda feel bad after reading your post, because I hardly ever accept a friendly quit. In my mind, you're looking for a game - so you wanna play. I often times feel like guys offer a FQ after they see my record and my banner - they assume I'm good and they do want to play, they just don't want to play me. I've had stretches where, if I accepted every FQ offered to me, I wouldn't be playing at all.

As you get closer to WS people offer more FQs because they want to play the worse players

Would it be too harsh to only have friendly quit as an option for when you have the lead? I appreciate there are legitimate issues for wanting a friendly. I have things that cause me to have to leave a game early. But, I also know how frustrating it is to have a game tied after 30 minutes and get a friendly. That might be my only game for the night. So, then I feel like a [censored] if I say no.

I usually friendly quit people that are slow in the first inning. If you want to take 10 seconds before pitching and pause 5 times an inning, don’t play online.

I feel like there should be a rating system to avoid people like this.

Friendly quits are annoying because whats the difference... we just searched started a game and now are playing and I have to go through that whole process again for what reason?

When I want to try a new pitcher I go to the signature teams moments and quit until I get the starter I want. I know it's against the computer, but it helps get a feel for the windup and pitch placement. I have become salty when it comes to friendly quits. I got fooled on my first RS game and didn't know a friendly quit would cancel everything out. Now almost every time I get far ahead I get a request for a friendly quit. It's the luck of the draw and everyone comes to play so I never give the benefit of the doubt and grant them. If I have something come up and the game is tied then that's my problem and I will gladly quit and take the loss.
