Last RS Game is the Nail in the Coffin for 20

Just got matched up with a guy that is silver level and I’m in CS. I automatically knew I was in for a completely terrible game
First AB of the game is a fuckin perfect/perfect FLYBALL with Biggio for an out at Laughing Mountain...lol okay.
Multiple pitches below the zone, marks hit on analog, hung in the lower part of the zone for an early homerun while I’m squaring up pitch after pitch for out after out.
I’m done with this game. User input does not matter. Another year of terrible gameplay in RS masked by content. Another year where players with bad records and low XP levels get every imaginable break there is.
Let’s reward early swings with XBH and higher exit velos more so than good or perfect swings.
I literally felt like I was playing against the AI and not my opponent. This game is fuckin garbage and I’m done for the year. No fuckin point to chase after any card, reward or record when your input does not matter and the game feels pre determined at times. [censored] this joke of a game

XP level means nothing
You are also completely misrepresenting the game, your opponent scored two runs on 1. A perfect/perfect Eddie Matthews home run and a run on a perfect/perfect Thome home run,
So your opponent was squaring up pitches just fine. They weren't "early" home runs

I won’t be convinced otherwise when you get matched up with a lower level XP player that the game skews the outcomes of swings and pitches.
That HR by Eddie? Multiple check swings, foul tips, and that perfect perfect? I threw a change up that was literally off the screen below the zone...good release and it ends up right under the zone. You can’t tell me that’s not BS
Same exact thing with Thome. Yeah he made 1 good swing after the game forced bad pitches, bailed him out with check swings and foul tips on pitches that should never be foul tipped.
You didn’t play my game, you don’t know what happened outside some description in a box score that doesn’t give the full picture.
My record speaks to the validity of my frustration. I don’t voice my frustration when I am beat fairly, I voice my frustration when I can tell this game plays awfully bc Im good enough to put in the input that should be rewarded but is consistently not in RS

No I don't know all the ins and outs of the game.
But when you flat out lie in your original comment

My reference to the early homerun was that McCutchen homerun that you’re failing to mention? Was an outside pitch pulled early for a homerun.
But please, continue to nitpick my box score in your free time.

I don't think this game plays that well online, it's pretty mediocre.
But most people who write a complaint decide for whatever reason to stretch the truth, when the only reason to exaggerate is because if they didn't, they don't feel it would be a good point.
So let me ask you, if you told it like it actually was, do you think you'd still have a point?
If so, then there was no need for exaggeration, if not, well then I guess it's not that big of a deal

I feel like everyone always gets mad at people around here for fact checking. Fact checking is a good thing. If you dont like your BS called out maybe you should "gtfoh dude". Its an online gaming forum, people are gonna give you [censored] even when you aren't exaggerating so if you can't take it when someone calls you out legit then maybe the internet is not for you

I don’t mind being “called out” at all. I’m all for it honestly. But you act like my OP was completely fabricated when it’s not and you say it was “exaggerated” to make my point more valid when that isn’t my objective.
I voice my frustrations and shortcomings with online gameplay bc this is the only game that I play heavily due to my competitiveness, love for baseball and actually being pretty good at this. So when I can feel myself getting [censored] out of a game, I’m going to voice that in hopes that somehow, online gameplay the following year is better.
Eatyum, my apologies for coming at you the way I did, and I don’t mind the fact checking. I was just extremely pissed, am now out a controller and just came here to voice my frustration.
Is what it is but it’s time for another break from this game bc it’s just simply not worth my time anymore

I understand, and I apologize, I think I came across a bit too hostile myself.
I just get frustrated at times, because most threads that could provide helpful perspective on the state of the game often get embellished, which makes the poster seem salty and just completely loses the point. That's more of a me problem, I could just ignore it, but sometimes I just can't help myself

I think this game can easily be the best online sports game and I think it’s easily the best ultimate team mode over the other major sports franchises.
So when it plays just completely terribly and when there is no consistency from game to game in RS, it’s so incredibly hard not to get pissed off and come on here to rant...I’ve learned to scale back since 17 lol
I’m over it now but my desire to play this game just vanished after that last RS game
