We really needed another Smoltz card?

I can't see myself using Smoltz CP over his Prestige FOTF card.
I'm a bit of a card hoarder so I'll probably grab him anyway.

Lester is likely the player program today. My guess is Jansen will be an inning boss but yeah I would have much rather had kimbrel instead of Smoltz

This whole John Smoltz thing is confusing me the attributes on a 96 card are better than the ones on the 99 card so how is it 96 overall. And really looking at it if you got the prestige Smoltz card this Signature Series card is a total waste of stubs

Attributes are weighted differently based on position. Its harder to be a 99 as a reliever

nope not at all. Only had a 99 ovr team and 5 mil coins when i stopped playing cause I was clueless. not that its a money grab for a +2 or anything

Also, Robin Yount won an MVP at both Shortstop and center field. He will never get 2 cards. Braves love is too obvious this year.
Yeah, I know that the Braves got a lot of attention in this years version but tbh that’s because the game finally got the rights to use Maddux, Glavine, and Smoltz all in the same year. Also the brewers don’t get a lot of love because that team doesn’t have much in the way of great legends to pick from. They have two HOF that went in with Brewers colors and had 4 others play for them at some point in their careers. That’s not a lot to pick from. Those Braves are all HOF’s. Just an observation

To be honest, do we really need new cards? It seems like there is something new everyday. I feel like it cheapens the product and becomes a look at my shiny new toy that will get disposed of later.

Now I'm in a tight spot. Smoltz is my number 2 SP, I do okay with him. I do well with Greinke as well, after getting Seaver I had to drop Greinke. And I have an opening for a RH RP.
Guess I gotta get the new Smoltz. I hope this is his last card of the year.

I understand all the history, and fully aware with the Brewers lack of success. It’s more specifically that the Brewers have 2 HOFers in this game and seems pretty likely they will end up with only 1 legend card on the market, unless they give Molitor a SS card... yet Smoltz has 4 diamond cards.
I am trying to be a little annoying so they go after some past Brewers players rights like Prince Fielder and Ben Sheets next year.
