It has to be you only have 48 hrs to acquire him at 99 then he reverts back to 88 if you havent gotten him. That's all that actually makes sense.It’s only a 48 hour boost. It was nice though selling extra golds And silvers for 60k. Sold turner and a few others for over 5k, sold them more for today than I would if they ever went diamond. Kinda surprised though that so many people don’t have stage 1 done yet. So gotta say thank you sds for letting me get an extra 50k for the cards I sold

His temporary 99 is amazing. First game his debut, 2-4 1 HR, a 2B, 1 RBI & 1 R. Can't wait to use him for the next 48. Maybe a look at a possible August POTM lightning card

Yeah I agree, rookie mistakes.... anyone who’s scrambling to get it done is probably a new player and also didn’t read and thinks if they get the card within 48 hours they keep the 99. It was a mad rush to buy up exchanges and didn’t think logically

Yeah. I made an absolute killing off the people thinking you only have 48 hours to acquire him. 1400 stubs per David Price? Ridiculous.

I had a slew of Gold Dodgers and few Diamond Yates. I'm surprised people dropped that many stubs as well for a 2 day player. I made an easy 100K in about 20 minutes. Went ahead and bought the remaining TN cards I didn't have. Easy loot.

This card is ridiculous. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is, in fact, a preview of his PotM Lightning Card.

That makes sense to me, with those who have gotten this card getting bonus points toward POTM path. It would be pretty dirty to dangle this carrot then make it disappear forever...

Even if the original intention was to be one and done, with the amount of people who misinterpreted the message and sold cards and got scalped in the process there would be a lot of hard feelings toward SDS.

Tatis in no way, shape, or form, deserves a 99. If you're determined to play against an all-time great team with him, you have an 88 to play with, and you deal with the shortcomings of an inferior card playing against a superior card.
Now that being said, the potms were bad enough, but SDS shifted into major overdrive this year in handing out high diamonds to unworthy players. So, you very well may get what you want.
Seems to me though, that it's kind of pointless to get the rights to a great, when they're just going to turn around and give some scrub a card that's playable with their's.

Tatis is a pretty good player. To place him in the realm of the elite players in baseball's history, however, just ain't right.

Lol at tatis being a scrub. There is loads of players in this years game that are extremely undeserving of their ratings but tatis is the one that irks people? At least tatis is putting up great numbers

I do think SDS thought most people had done the TA's, and they were just giving us something fun due to the Grand Salami and all the controversy.
If you hadn't done TA yet, it's worth your time. Trammell and Gwynn are both absolute monster cards.
