Any of you burn your PS4 out playing MLB?

You can open it and clean the fan, prevent it from building up dust. That will make the fan heavier and less effective.
Should have known that. Watched a YouTube video, opened the case, cleaned out all the dust... HUGE difference. Thanks.

I'm not sure but what I do know is that mine sounds like a vacuum
Lol- same here. Feel like I should get out of the room and the building when I hear the engine revving up.

I bought a mini fan and have it blowing on the side so all that air that comes out the back of PS4 which is on a desk close to wall isn't just sitting back there

I swear I just cleaned a bunch of dust off of it two weeks ago and it’s a lot more silent

I've had my PS4 since early 2014, and it is still quiet, working well. I am using the digital version of the game, don't know if that helps.
I shouldn't even type this, when I turn the system on tonight it will probably explode after I said how great it is working.

Keep it in the fridge with an extension cord and you will make World Series every season.

I think my PS4 is about 4 years old now. I've put it through it's paces this year with as much MLB as I've played. I've taken to putting ice packs on the top of it to keep it cool...
Anyone burn through a PS4? My son has had issues with XBox in the past, but this thing has been rock-solid.
nothing man made last forever

I have the original Ps4, never had any problems with overheating. they make cooling pads/stations for laptops, that might work.
-
No, and I’ve had the original one for 6 years now. I clean the fan and get the dust out and it stops making the noise. Many games have been played on this PS4 and it has not given me any serious trouble. The only problem I had was the 500 gb that it has, but I tuned it up by buying and external storage of 2 TB. Overall still very solid, just waiting for the PS5 to drop.

Mine is on its 7th year, and I really need to open/clean it soon. I keep the side vents clean but that only does so much. Just running MLBTS sends it into hyperdrive, to the point where my wife will ask, “are you sure that thing’s OK?” Once I close the program, it calms down considerably. I’m just trying to keep it going until the PS5 is here.

My strategy of working on my PCI placement has obviously been a waste of time.

A frozen bottle of vodka works waaaaaay better. I used to set one behind it and lay it down when I lived in an apartment with no AC, worked fantastically.
I generally find myself laying next to my bottle of vodka that I took out of my freezer when I wake up in the morning.

My has been working like a charm. Only thing that's has ever took a playstation out ,I've owned in the past was a powerful thunderstorm. Hit a transformer in the back of the house.

Oh yes, the lovely sound of the trash truck rumbling along as the system turns on. Quite lovely when you get on to enjoy life for a bit, wouldnt you say?

Careful. A lot of people will take this seriously like, get a monitor, get thumb risers and plug in your gamepad.
