Roster Update

In the twitch stream, they mentioned full minors on day 1.
My gamestop lets you pick up at 9pm the day prior to launch (12th). Was wondering, historically, do they issue a roster update on day 1?
Don't want to start my franchise that night if a roster update will come that Friday. I thought I remember it taking a bit last year to get a roster update but don't recall definitively. Anyone playing the show for a while know?

there will not be a roster update until after opening day which is a couple weeks after release

If they are promoting day 1 full minors, then I guess it'll be baked in and ready to roll on the 12th.

launch rosters will be mostly set but use projections for stuff like position ( Betts/bellinger, kingery/Segura, etc) and where prospects start out( cause a lot of that isn't final) and NRIs prob will be in FA list. expect the Friday after opening day or the week after for an update with accurate opening day rosters.
previous years it would have been full of newly added players, but this year it will just be movement between the levels. -
