It does make the most sense that SDS will have either a CPU toggle for teams by the admin or at the very least a way for human controlled teams to become CPU if they quit the league. This would be much easier to implement than compensating for removing a team from the league.

You can set team restrictions like overall, so people will be at the same playing level. I don't think there will be CPU controlled teams in this which is different than OFM. For example, a 5 person league will have five teams in it and thats it.
Here you go again with some more false information.... They've said nothing about not being able to play against CPU TEAMS!! If you make a 30 man league but you only have 15 users, I'm pretty sure thos teams stay scheduled and you can play the CPU!! Why would there be an option to chose the games in a series played if that's not the case? Why would there be CPU spots on the postseason Bracket.. Come on dude! It's the same as before with a little DD added.. Duh!!

Agreed! Tired of seeing guys who online play offline complain about DD not having enough offline options meanwhile it is suppose to be an ONLINE mode.
Imagine complaining about people wanting more content that you can also play.
I am all for more ways to play but not when I have to complete an insane Offline grind for cards that then can be utilized ONLINE. DD is literally an online mode. Hover over DD on the menu screen, Create, Customize, and Compete ONLINE. IMO, the game mode should have a small portion offline that the user needs to do. In 18, someone could make the argument that they spent more time grinding Immortals than playing online.
The problem wasn't necessarily the grind, it was that SDS didn't offer any alternative for folks that don't enjoy beating up the CPU ad nausea.
Your gripe is with SDS, not offline players.
I don't mind offline players but just pushes a little button of mine when they want to complain about not having enough offline content for literally an Online mode. Like it does have offline things to play. I would be all about a Season mode for a DD team so I can use it to warm up for RS.
I don't even know what you're trying to say. It's an 'online mode' in the sense that you have to be online to engage in any of the modes. There is no 'offline'.
I think what you may be trying to communicate is that it's a (or should be) a H2H-only mode... which is also categorically untrue, at least from SDS' POV. Moments and conquest wouldn't exist if that were the case.
Hover over Dd at the main menu. Let me know what it says. That should clear up what I mean by ONLINE.
Per the Playstation blog regarding DD: At its core, Diamond Dynasty is an online mode that lets you play the game your way while earning the prizes you want.
I still don't understand the point you're trying to make. Are you trying to say that it should be H2H only?

He is making a point of saying online means H2H, but the entire "your way" part negates that, if my way is "vs CPU" because I hate playing people.
The more things they make for offline players the better it should be for online players. On 18 all I heard was H2H guys complaining that offline vs CPU grinders were playing with Godsquads H2H, but most of those offline grinders were only playing H2H for the rewards that can only be achieved H2H, specifically Stan Musial. I hate playing you H2H as much as you hated playing my all immortals team. So anyway that they can make it so I can earn every card in the game without ever playing a person will make me happy.

First off, this is the part of the link I posted that makes me question if there will be CPU teams: "Regular Season length is determined during the creation phase of the Custom League by how many teams are in the League and how many times you play each team (1, 3, 5, or 7)." To me if this was a version of OFM and you selected the Yankees, the Yankees on average play their "division teams" 19 times each. This post is saying you can only face a team a max of 7 times.
Trust me, I don't hate OFM, I actually hope that this League mode will enable me to play a sort of "season mode" with my DD team on legend so I can use that as a warmup for RS.
BTW, it isn't trolling, I am voicing my opinion after I read a blog post from Playstation themselves. Get out of here with saying I hop online and type hate. I typed my opinion, which has clearly frustrated you. Relax, go lift some weights or punch a bag, get that angry out kid. It's good for you.

I just read through everything and I can see the confusion. Lets start with MLB 18, everyone knew that it was much faster to earn the Immortals by grinding against the CPU and fielding an entire team of like position guys. And for some grinds, like Babe Ruth I think you needed a combined hit total of 1400 hits (700 LFs and 700 RFs) in order to gain X amount of completion points. 1400 hits is a ton of time to commit to offline play for a card that most users are going to use online. DD is suppose to be a very online based mode and users should not have to spend more time offline then online earning end game cards. 19 made it far more of an online grind to earn those end game cards, but if you didn't want to do the online grind you could still purchase the card with stubs. That was missing in years prior.
I am completely ok with the mode having non-H2H options for offline users but there should not be a card that is earned via Offline play that is game end not on the market to buy. Most DD users do not want to grind versus the CPU, they want to play H2H. For example, the Moment extreme cards, Miller, Edmonds, and Gossage should also be sellable on the market so you may have to pay a high price but you don't need to grind offline for it and the same goes for any card you can only earn online.

I agree, my biggest problem has always been the cards that can not be bought on the market. Whether it is forcing online guys to play CPU or offline people to play H2H it is extremely limited. But it is something that DD is known for, I don't see it changing. I just want an opportunity to get the card I want, without having to play people H2H.
If there is a Reds card than can only be had by playing H2H, then I will pay PS plus and deal with playing people and their miserable attitudes.

You can set team restrictions like overall, so people will be at the same playing level. I don't think there will be CPU controlled teams in this which is different than OFM. For example, a 5 person league will have five teams in it and thats it.
Here you go again with some more false information.... They've said nothing about not being able to play against CPU TEAMS!! If you make a 30 man league but you only have 15 users, I'm pretty sure thos teams stay scheduled and you can play the CPU!! Why would there be an option to chose the games in a series played if that's not the case? Why would there be CPU spots on the postseason Bracket.. Come on dude! It's the same as before with a little DD added.. Duh!!

First off, this is the part of the link I posted that makes me question if there will be CPU teams: "Regular Season length is determined during the creation phase of the Custom League by how many teams are in the League and how many times you play each team (1, 3, 5, or 7)." To me if this was a version of OFM and you selected the Yankees, the Yankees on average play their "division teams" 19 times each. This post is saying you can only face a team a max of 7 times.
Trust me, I don't hate OFM, I actually hope that this League mode will enable me to play a sort of "season mode" with my DD team on legend so I can use that as a warmup for RS.
BTW, it isn't trolling, I am voicing my opinion after I read a blog post from Playstation themselves. Get out of here with saying I hop online and type hate. I typed my opinion, which has clearly frustrated you. Relax, go lift some weights or punch a bag, get that angry out kid. It's good for you.
