7th Inn Showdown is no joke

Haven’t tried yet, 0-3 on 6th because of Maddux’s /9 turning hard contact to slow dribbles.

Anybody else struggling w the showdown this inning. I’ve been able to breeze through the others but I’m 0-5 on this one. Can’t even get to Johnson with more than 10 runs and when I do he’s been near impossible to get anything going.
Are you drafting mainly lefty batters? That is critical.
I haven't tried yet, but saw a tip video on it. Draft some speed guys as well. -
First try, lost 15-15. Hit a double with with two outs left, runner from first decides to round third and come back(with no input telling him to) and gets thrown out. Next hitter, deep fly ball that would’ve won the showdown. Ball game over. Got it my second try but mannnnn was that rough.
-
I struggled with it. I started down 15-13. I hit a solo homer with Eloy. I got down to 2 outs before I hit a bases loaded double off the wall with Harmon Killebrew to win. Really thought I
Was gonna have to retry -
I hate facing Johnson. His throwing motion makes it look like he is gonna throw like 88 and it comes in at 102.
-
I haven’t tried it yet but haven’t won a showdown yet this year so my expectations are really low lol. Those 70 stars sure do look nice
-
For me Johnson is far easier to hit out of the stretch than if I have to watch that horrendous wind up. My advice is try to take as many pitches early as you can and get a walk and then light him up, just way easier to see the ball out of the stretch for me anyways. I’d even not take sac flies if it meant clearing the bases and him going back to the windup
-
The moments are really easy. Get on base once for 2 runs and a free pack. Get 2 total bases in two innings for 2 runs and a pack. Even if Johnson is hard to hit, you shouldn't be down by more than a run or two. I went in 15-14, won in two pitches. Take Harper, that's the only choice round one. Load up with lefties (obviously, you're facing a RHP), and focus. You'll be fine.
-
Yeah I was overconfident the first time and didn't try too hard on the moments. Went in 15-7 and lost 15-15
That 102 really snuck up on me lol. That dumb slow windup followed by 102 is tough. Also the patient approach doesn't really work because this mf just pounds the zone
Doing my 2nd run now and plan to take the moments much more seriously
-
I for whatever reason lost to buerhle due to me being an idiot trying to steal a base (I could of easily just bunted for two outs and a sac fly). So I decided to skip to end second time and lost 11-15. So the third time I said okay let me take this seriously and stop wasting time, won easily.
-
This is the only one I've had a hard time with so far. I'm on my 4th try. I finished all the others on the first.
-
Beat it so easily lol and I suck...just sit fastball against Walter lol. Beat it first try and in less than an hour
-
Tooo easy.

Know what’s funny: I lost to BUEHRLE twice. First time I just totally underestimated it and didn’t pay attention until I suddenly had one out left. Second time I had two men on with 6 outs left and absolutely fumbled the bag (double play, forced a tag up from third...pure choke).
But I beat Johnson on my first try the next time through. I don’t know why I struggled with this one - it seemed pretty easy on paper, but I agree with you.

It was by far the easiest one of the inning showdowns IMO
I wouldn't say easiest, but it wasn't too difficult. Got it first try and half my outs left. Big train gets wild and starts throwing get me over heaters. Those end up in the stands.

Big train was pretty tough, but the mini missions were the easiest they have ever been IMO. Pretty easy to go in down 12-15 or better

Same here man. I won every 1 run moment and lost every 2 run moment. I went in 4-15 lol. I couldn’t touch that mf. Probably 14 of my outs were from strikeouts. He paints the freaking corners, barely throws balls. Well it was only one time. I’ll try again later with the tips from you guys. But I might burn something down if it’s the same outcome lol

Opposite for me. Romo and Bierce gave me a thought time. I didn’t really try at the end and went in down 7-15 but won with 7 outs left lol. Homers are easy to get against Walter

Even the time I beat him got a little hairy. I wanna say I bunt cheesed LS Luis Robert with like 5 outs left and slapped a gapper that got him home. But after the big guns at the top of my lineup all got out, I was a little nervous.
