It is def a capitalist community, and as a result it sucks!! A gentleman prior mentioned that they used to release bronze and silver program cards. I remember this. I remember a bronze Trevor Plouffe that destroyed lefties. I remember a bronze Chris Carter that was also pretty good. These cards had specific uses in events! Those cards were fun! Unfortunately they have been rendered useless cuz everyone wants a maxed out card, and this years events really are no different than RS. I’d love to see them bring back more specialty cards. No need to eliminate anything, just would love to see those cards return. The choices are limitless on cards they could release!

In theory it's a good idea, even a salary cap event would be neat. But unfortunately you'd just end up facing teams full of high rated future stars cards on league minimums.

I’m assuming he’s not talking about a monetary salary cap but a rankings cap like in madden. Like some one suggested before 98 is worth 30 mil and so on. Madden uses a point cap system in their cap ranked. If you want Michael Vick 99 with all the All skills added or in mlb quirks it’s going to cost half your cap points or so. Madden will also fill out your roster with bronze or so players that cost nothing on your cap.

Let's be honest here. The less this game resembles something from EA, the better.

couldnt have said it any better. EA is a monster. But a mode maybe for cards 90 and under or something like that

I doubt you'll get a full mode. Live Series events maybe. Other than that Custom Leagues might be more along the lines of what you're looking for.

And yes that is what events are!! Or used to be... The events this year have not resembled this one bit..

Wanna get a new mode? Stop playing events.

As long as there they see a steady stream of users accessing that play mode, it'll continue.

Do what the franchisers did and stop playing. It's how they got Online Leagues.

Ever since they changed stats to 125 all live series players except Trout become unusable every year. I’ve said all along they need a live Series event running all the time or a way to make those players relevant in this game again. It’s sad that all the best live players we get to watch are only bought to get a collection reward and forgotten after a few weeks.

This get said by a lot of people that obviously don't play EA games. If you did you would realize everything good in this game over the last few years came directly from EA or other games.

Ranked season rewards came from EA.
Xp reward paths came from EA.
    Prestige is from EA.
    Specialty packs came from EA.
Inning programs are fortnite battle passes with a different name lmao.

Fielding, hitting, pitching, base running....Those are what SDS is capable of doing by itself

While many of those things you mentioned are in fact IN EA games, they certainly weren't the ones who originated them.

All of these card team game modes are going to be similar, whether it's EA, 2k, SDS, ect. Open packs, pull cards, play games, upgrade teams, earn/buy new packs, rinse, repeat. Having some similar base mechanics doesn't make The Show an EA clone.....

I like what you're saying. I have all these future stars cards that I want to get the ta objectives with, but they pretty much get smoked by superb pitching... Especially if you are trying to improve

Exactly. Tons of AWESOME cards that have absolutely no use. I don't really see the downside to such a mode? People are still going to buy packs and grind... People will want new cards... and they don't have to all be 99's to be desirable.
