What some folks on this forum back in 19 called "comeback logic" was strong on this one!
I guess the "RNG" ran out for the home team...
Did you see the Marlins use what some people would call "bunt cheese" leading off the top of the 10th?
Perfectly placed bunt against a shifted infield.Berti looking like Jackie Robinson

What a game tonight in Shippett, err I mean Buffalo tonight.
I swear it was like playing a game at Shippett.
Like Kevin would say "it was a bloodbath"While I am happy my Marlins edged the Jays 14-11 in 10 innings
Besides the 25 runs the teams combined for
32 hits
8 HRs - 7 by the Jays (including an HR in 6 straight innings)
16 total pitchers
the Marlins blew an 8-0 lead.
Bo Bichette went 5-5What a fun game!!!
Saw the box score but forgot it was in Buffalo. Now the score, HRs, etc make sense.

As a Jays fan my phone almost over heated from all the home run notifications I was getting but the Jays pitching staff continues to have nuclear level melt downs

It wasn't your staff that killed you. Yes they did not pitch well, but it was the boneheaded plays on the field that killed you:
- Vlad not catching a high throw from Bichette that triggered a rally.
- Jansen throwing to second with a runner on third base. Easy "steal" of home as there was no one even covering 2nd.
- Having the shift on in the 10th with a fast/good bunting hitter at the plate.
Pearson is big time, but the kid might not be ready for big league hitters yet.
You have a Vlad problem, the dude is a liability anywhere on the diamond. For all his power, he seems to not care at all about fielding. Move him to DH and just let him hit.
Bichette will be the best of the bunch. Biggio and Guriel could be special. -

Vlad is a DH that is for sure, Bo is the stub of the bunch for sure

One thing is for cetain the Jays will dominate any Father and Son games for the next decade. What is it 5 guys whose fathers were legitimate studs on the field? And yes, I would count Guriel in that. His father, Lourdes Sr. was an absolute stud for the Cuban National team.
Guriel
Guerrero
Biggio
Bichette
Shaw
Great blood lines!!! -

If there are no fans next year, we are in for a world of trouble.
Forgetting the virus and the medical implications, which is important, but I am talking from a purely baseball perspective.MLB cannot survive financially two lost seasons. One is pushing it.
Teams will fold if there are no fans next year.
Remember, players will rightfully demand their full salaries. A reduction in pay is a nonstarter for the union.
The owners will be left with no choice but to lock out the players. We were headed for labor strife regardless since the CBA expires at the conclusion of the 2021 season.
This was going to be a "nuclear winter" regardless.
Further lockdowns/crowd restrictions would be crippling for all sports, not just the MLB. -

I have said it for awhile now. Im sure there are standards and such... but Toronto, should play 1 series a season in Buffalo. It would sell out very quick and it would seed a niche fanbase here (where many people inexplicably are Yankees fans). Its a nice little spectacle too. They could get 20,000 here for each game of a 3 game series. That is better than I have seen in the Rogers Centre many a time.

Ok... All jokes aside, the Blue Jays really are playing at Shippett.
